The Left Hand and A Love Supreme are the 2 episodes I've heard mentioned as possible original endings for season 2. I think The Left Hand would have been too soon/too much filler to stretch that story-line on to the end of the season, but A Love Supreme would have been a good season ending. It was a cliff-hanger, and the episode's plot had brought Alpha back into the mix.
