Doctor Who Question

Am I the only one to spot the mistake on the date of the 'present day' episodes? In Series 1, Rose joined the Doctor in 2005, but was gone for a year before returning home - so all 'present' episodes now should occur 1 year in the future!

The tardis is a time machine and the Doctor is a time lord. The present time is relevant only for the companion he is ravelling with. And right now it's Amy not Rose. So as long as he doesn't cross his own timeline, he can be wherever he want to be and present time will be Amy's time.
