Cinderella (2015) is a masterpiece and my favorite live action remake of a Disney princess movie for many reasons, and one of them is how smoothly elements of other Disney films are implemented into the story.

Cinderella already shared similarities with the original Sleeping Beauty and Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs animated movies before becoming a live action remake.

Cinderella had an evil step mother and was treated like a servant in her own home just like Snow White was. Cinderella longed to be free to make her own choices just like Aurora in Sleeping Beauty.

Cinderella also was able to communicate with her animal friends just like both Snow White and Aurora. Besides these similarities, two more similarities were added for the live action version of Cinderella (2015).

1. How Cinderella (2015) added a similarity to Sleeping Beauty:

Cinderella originally meets her prince charming at the ball in the animated version of Cinderella. Ella in the live action version meets the prince while horseback riding in the forest. She saves the deer that Prince Kit is hunting. The two instantly fall for each other and wish to see each other again.

This is similar to how Aurora meets Prince Phillip in Sleeping Beauty. Aurora is singing and dancing with her animal friends in the forest when Prince Phillip on horseback hears her singing. The two meet in the woods and share a conversation, a song, a dance, and fall in love.

Both are forest scenes where a horseback riding prince meets and falls in love with the strange, animal loving peasant, which was not originally in the animated version of Disney's Cinderella.

2. How Cinderella (2015) added a similarity to Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs:

Cinderella originally meets the Fairy Godmother while she is crying after her dress is torn by her mean stepfamily.

This is also when Ella in the live action version meets the Fairy Godmother, but this time the Fairy Godmother appears as an elderly lady who requests a drink from Ella, who kindly obliges.

Similarly, Snow White encounters an elderly lady who needs her assistance due to being tired and her heart hurting, so Snow White offers her a drink. This elderly lady was not a Fairy Godmother in disguise as in Cinderella (2015), though, and was in fact the evil queen tricking Snow White into letting her inside so she would have the opportunity to poison her with an apple.

Both Ella and Snow White assist a strange, elderly lady who is in disguise by giving them a drink. Both elderly ladies are also magical and hiding their true purpose for requesting a drink from the princesses.

Now that you have seen the similarities between Cinderella (2015), Sleeping Beauty, and Snow White, which movie is your favorite?

Do you like that elements from Snow White and Sleeping Beauty were added to Cinderella (2015)?

Please leave your thoughts in the comments. :)

This list is only about Disney villains who turned up in animated full-length feature. No Pixar, no package movies and no half-animated movies. I also only included villains, who definitly are villains, not those who turned good at the end of the movie (like Amos Slate) or those which are mostly just slightly jerky characters (like the characters of Dumbo or the Siamese cats).

10. Sloth:

It should be obvious why this motivation is at the bottom on the list. Lazy villains don’t really provide much action because they are…well, too lazy to do much. So it’s no wonder that the only...

As many of you might know I'm working on a very long countdown including all the disney heroines; the disney princesses, the disney non-princess adult heroines, the young heroines, the pixar heroines, the classically animated 2-D heroines, the 3-D computer animated CGI heroines, and even the animated heroines from live action movies. For this round I will tell about the ones who unfortunately didn't make it to the top 20 but that doesn't necessary mean that all of them are considered ugly. I will talk about what they audience thought about them and than my opinion of them. There will also include...

Hello everyone! This is the first of many articles soon to come and I hope you enjoy reading this just as much as I did writing it :)

For each article I will write about;

1. How much I enjoyed/disliked the movie as a child

2. How much I have forgotten

3. Princess (will she be higher on my list or lower?)

4. Movie (will the movie be higher on my list or lower?)

5. Rating

6. How much has my opinion changed?

7. Would I watch it again?

Tonight's rewatch: Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs
Last time watched: 2001 (seriously, how can I consider myself a Disney Princess fan if I waited THIS LONG to watch this...

Back in June of 2016, I wrote an article where I listed of 10 of the dumbest mistakes Disney ever made. I went easy on Disney in that article, saying that while Disney has made many bad decisions but every company made bad decisions and Disney wasn't any different. I merely made it so I can express that Disney isn't as perfect as people perceive it to be. But now the kid gloves are off. It's been two years since I wrote that, and Disney has gotten even worse. So bad in fact, that I'm not afraid to say that I dislike the company now. I know what you're going to say "But Renegade! Didn't you...
