I've heard 3 similarities:

Both Princes Show Sheltered Princesses the World-
Aladdin offers to show Jasmine the world in a night.
Flynn grudgingly offers to escort Rapunzel through the forest for two days (or a day in a half, whatever).

Both Princesses Have Been Cooped Up in One Building For Most of their Lives-
Jasmine had stuff to DO. And she had an entire palace to explore, along with gardens and servants and whatnot. Rapunzel had want was pretty much a one-room tower (I know there was more than one room, but the others were really small).

Both Princes are Thieves Turned Good Who End Up Living in the Palace They Always Wanted-
Aladdin stole to survive- because he HAD to. Flynn could've taken a different path, but he decided to steal for a living. Aladdin never really had that choice. Plus, they both have VASTLY different backstories.

^ I agree 100%. About the last part though, I always assumed Flynn had to steal eventually, maybe because there could have been poor living conditions at the orphanage. But, Aladdin didn't even have a roof over his head.
