Nobody seems to like Pocahontas much, but my Grandma fell in love. I don't know why, but I asked her and she was like "Which ones are the Princesses?" and I listed them all and then had to explain who Tiana was because she hasn't seen PatF and then she went "Hmmm... I'll have Pocahontas. I loved her. She was pretty and sang nice. Finished the interrogation?"


...Personally, I think she might have just been trying to get me to piss off so she could watch Bullseye in peace, but still.

She's pretty much a legend in my school year because of all the funny stories about her. Stuff the family just sort of nods at but other people find hilarious. I guess we're just used to her.

I only asked her because I watched HoND at her house and I was like "Did you like it?" and she was like "It was alright..." and I was like "You loved it, didn't you?" and she smirked and went "Yes, it was rather good."


@DreamyGal: She didn't get to enjoy BatB. xD I was explaining to her for the whole movie why I felt it was inferior. She eventually went and dusted the living room to escape me, came back for the sequels and was surprised to see me being nice about them.
I don't think she liked Belle much anyway tbf. She was like "The girl in the paper shop is prettier than her. Y'know, the boring one?" and I lol'd.

I need to device an entire list for her. For no reason other than my own entertainment. She has opinions, but not a list. It's something like:

Pocahontas - pretty, sings nice.
Mulan - funny, sort of pretty, sings nice.
Snow White - irritating voice but cute.
Cinderella - pretty, sings nice, bit boring.
Aurora - ditto as Cinders.
Jasmine - showed no interest in her and voiced no opinion. So idk.
Belle - boring and plain.
Ariel - nice hair, sings nice.

My Grandma is shallow as hell. xD She was MUCH more interested in this dodgy 40s film on BBC2 today and she was like "That's James Mason, he was rather famous. I was 4 when they made this, you know." and I was like "...This is boring." and she was like "I know, but there wasn't much else to watch."
Her opinions on HoND were all good, which suprised me. She was like "THE BELLS. THE BELLS. THE BELLS!" at the start and I was like "lolwut?" and she was like "I like this man that's singing." and I was like "That's Clopin. :3" and she was like "THE BELLS!" and I was like "omg, stfu and watch it."

...Did I mention that I talk a lot?
Oh, my Grandma's reaction to the ending of HoND was lol. She was like "HA. HE SAID FIERY PIT. AND THEN HE FELL IN THE FIRE STUFF. HA."
She was disappointed that the only two snogging scenes had no Quasimodo action. I was like "Have you read the book?" and she was like "What book? I thought this was a true story!" and I lol'd my face off.
