I actually ship these two. I think they'd make a fantastic couple and I can easily see them being best friends. They both like to work hard and dream big. I think Tia could teach Cindy to stand up for herself more firmly and Cindy could show Tia it's ok to take a break if you need it.

They both work hard, but Tiana would be too grounded in reality and that would annoy Cinderella who is very big on dreaming and wishing, and Cinderella's sitting back and dreaming would also annoy Tiana. Cinderella did work to get to the ball, but Tiana would judge her for not being more proactive. (Side note: I love Cinderella)

@sunnyfields but Tiana's best friend is Charlotte who is incredibly dreamy and loves wishing on stars. I got the sense that Tia wasn't so much annoyed at Lottie's dreaminess as she was at Lottie's staunch unwillingness to try other tactics at getting her dreams to come true. In fact, Tia even tried wishing on a star after seeing Lottie do it, so I'd say she has a dreamy side herself. I can see how you would read her character differently though. :)
