I'd be worried sick every day of that month, I'd think it unlikely that my daughter would return because there's not just the threat of the war itself (which is scary enough) there's also the threat of if she was ever found out by the others to be a woman.

The other one is scary too of course, but I find this one scarier (and it goes on for a longer period of time).

Not knowing is far worse than knowing that your child is in danger. Not everyone dies in war, but when a child goes missing, there is the likelihood that they are already dead.

It depends on context to some degree. If the war was exactly the same situation as Mulan's, I would find that worse. However, if it was a modern day war she was legally allowed to be in, I might change my vote to not knowing where my daughter was for three days.

agreed with @JungleQueen13: if it was in the modern day it's a bit different, but in Mulan's exact scenario I find this 'worse' as I'd feel there's no way she'd realistically be able to pass off as a guy and be found out very quickly.
