I don't really think she would be a big fan of either (not dislike them, but just prefer other princesses) but I think she would slightly prefer Mulan for what she did for her father. Belle I can see preferring more reserved princess who carries herself with grace and demeanor and Pocahontas is sort of wild and risky while Mulan is a bit clutzy and irresponsible.

Agreed. Pocahontas isn't refined (she has dignity and elegance but in a totally different way from Belle), she doesnt really care about learning for its own sake like Belle does, and Belle's a little more traditional in personality/interests a la Cinderella. I don't think Belle would really care about all that Colors of the Wind stuff too and might find Pocahontas preachy. I can't see a lot Belle would relate to. Now, I love Pocahontas but I could see Belle thinking some of the stuff she does is a bit... stupid.


Then again she might find Pocahontas a little more entertaining to watch since a war story might not interest Belle. She also has a more interesting romance (forbidden love like in a romance novel instead of a budding implied crush on your superior). I think as a character she may prefer Mulan because they share similar values, but the story itself may bore Belle.

Mulan is more introverted, which is probably more relatable for her, but I feel like she'd admire civil and leading lady Pocahontas. The saving their father thing would probably further bond her to Mulan, but personality wise I think she'd like Pocahontas.

I agree with you AudreyFreak, I think she would prefer the movie Pocahontas to the movie Mulan, but reverse of the characters. I do agree she might find Pocahontas a bit stupid or silly.

I think she would like/admire both of them, but they would both be lower on her list.

The one thing she may relate to about Pocahontas is the pressure to lead a stable and ordered life. Belle sort of gets flack for being an outcast because she doesn't have the same desires as a typical woman of her town, and Pocahontas similarly.

She would be relate to Mulan more. Both are introverted, feels don't belong in the society, and the type of daddy's girl. Both are also sacrifice themselves for their father.

for wanting an adventure outside of her own land, wanting a prince/guy who is chosen for her society. She would love poca for her adventure spirit and the way she let go of John for her land/society.

She would definitely admire Mulan and relate to her more. I can't see her really connecting with Pocahontas.
