I absolutely agree with the link! It was completely spot on! Cinderella may have more badass scenes and is more proactive, but she's still the same person we know from the original, just expanded upon. She's kind, caring, patient, witty, and is willing to be the better person. Her concern when she could've died wasn't for herself, it was for Anastasia not only ruining Charming's life, but also her own. Anastasia clearly was feeling guilty for what she did to Cinderella by taking away her happy ending. Even after she reforms, she doesn't ask to be forgiven because she knows she doesn't deserve it after all she did, but instead she is thanked by Cinderella for making the right choice in not marrying Charming or letting her mother win. These two have the best relationship in the Cinderella franchise. It's really complex, shows they may be different but they're also very similar in a lot of ways, make amends with each other, and for once actually have a true family member. Cinderella lost her family after her father died and Anastasia (since we know little about her father) never had a true family. Her mother saw her as a way to improve her own social status and Drizella didn't treat her better than Cinderella by very much. The two of them are true sisters and a real family. Screw Anna and Elsa! Give me Cinderella and Anastasia ANYDAY!

It's not the slightest bit realistic to me that Anastasia called off her own wedding because she was "so impressed with how happy Cinderella was". It just seems like another lame attempt to make "villains" more relatable which is really just an attempt at undermining the "heroes" and otherwise "good characters" and morals. I also find it very harmful because the fool who just stands by and watches the wedding realistically will watch it happen (as their dreams are crushed in the process) since realistically, the bride would not call off the wedding before she's gotten anything out of it. (Especially when she is the type of person like Anastasia who is self-centered, mean and spoiled.)

^ I'm actually not close-minded at all and I think it's really unnecessary and unproductive for you to say such a thing. It's great that you feel like that's a realistic scenario but my experiences tell me otherwise. I also didn't say it was impossible that could happen, that would actually be close-minded. I also actually grew up incredibly similar to Cinderella and I had 2 sisters that were just like Anastasia and Drizella and one of them was even worse than the other, coincidentally. So I looked at this from my point of view with my experience with having half-sisters just like those girls and I could not realistically see something like that happening with them. That's not close-minded at all, it's called an educated guess.

I'm sorry that I have actually experienced people like her and situations similar to Cinderella and her sisters so I cant just fantasize that things would be all sugar and rainbows. Of course I would prefer that to be true but I'm a realist which means I admit inconvenient truths, even if I don't agree or like them.
