I dont know, I would be willing to watch that, but as long as they did it well. I find that with the normal 2d everything is more detailed and refined, which is the kind of movie I like to watch.
Did you look at the screenshots in the article? This new hybrid technique seems to be more detailed than traditional 2d, while still conforming to the hand-drawn lines.
I'm not sure what you mean by 2D completely...every Disney Princess movie since Sleeping Beauty has used 3d computer graphics, and all three of the classics used physical 3d models (computer graphics models didn't exist yet).
