Walt Disney Images - Princess Ariel

Okay, so I've been watching our Disney princess movies and I noticed some mistakes. You may or may not have noticed them, and I do not mean any offence to these films. It's just kind of fun to watch. So, as I said, there are few mistakes I've noticed here. Let's start with Jasmine's golden arm band; the mistake here is that it switches places on her right arm, to her left arm. When Jasmine has just kissed Jafar, it is on her right arm.

The group referred to as The Princesses doesn't refer to the group of 10 heroines we know on this site. This group refers to the women who were literally born into royalty, and in some studies, Kida from "Atlantis" is in this group as well, since she is technically royalty. In order to keep the flow of things pretty even, I have relegated her to the "Tough Girls" group, which will have their own article later on. For now, we'll focus on The Princesses: Ariel, Jasmine, Pocahontas, and Rapunzel.

10.Ursula's transformation into Vanessa

Unfortunately, there were no user comments for this one. I love this transformation, because even though it's short, it's interesting and reveals a lot about Ursula's character. She remains relatively calm throughout the story (until the end), but has random spurts of anger and psychoness, which is blatantly evident in this transformation. And...

For now I'm sticking to the usual "who came first" order, but I might mix them up later on.


Character: Top! As my favorite childhood princess, she will always be something special.

Role Model: Top – no middle – no top – no middle. The thing is, I like her in the top, because she is friendly, acts responsible and is an all around positive character. 10.Pocahontas
(Oh, boy, this won't finish good). Yeah, that's right: I don't find Pocahontas stunning, gorgeous, godess, or whatever people describe her. I can definitelly see why people put her on their first places, but I have different taste and different criteria. I still think she's pretty, but I just don't like the lines of her face, they are too sharp,her lips are really weird, makes look like...

♥ Please note: I did not just think of looks, I only chose actors/actresses who have impressed me with their screen-presence and charisma. Some of them are choices that don't necessarily look the part as much as alternative choices, but these casting decisions would be the most successful and intriguing to me personally. My choices were based on a blend of acting skills, appearance, voice, and current age in 2011. ♥

Merida and Ariel have very similar characteristics with similar goals, stories, and mistakes. They are both fiery, spirited, stubborn, headstrong, rebellious, foolish, careless, inconsiderate, look-before-they-leap types. They both rebel against an overprotective, overbearing parent. They both go after what they want without considering (or caring) about the consequences. Merida wants her freedom to ride and shoot arrows as much as her heart desires. Ariel wants to explore the surface and live among humans.

Ariel is very well liked, and although this is sometimes exaggerated, I like her too. Ariel is really beautiful and sweet but a bad role model. I will explain why. First of all I have to say that I love Ariel and share your thoughts instead of cursing me.

Ariel didn't follow her father's rule. Her father had said that humans were dangerous, and Ariel's mother, Athena, had died because of humans.
