Different faces, different personalities
Different faces, different personalities
We all love Disney princesses, don’t we? So Seasons are also like them, they are really different from each other and each one of them at least has a good trait. I recently developed an interest of writing articles on Disney princess symbolism. Thanks to the people who viewed my articles recently and loved them! Hope you all enjoy!
Snow white – Spring
Yes! For me the princesses in spring category are kind, resourceful, pure, obedient, self-reserved, matured and somewhat innocent. I like the Spring people. Traits or qualities tell she’s a spring person. She always likes to keep the room...

1. The outside of the palace is inspired by the Taj Mahal.

2. The word "Agra" is in the name Agrabah. Agra is a city in INDIA.

3. Rajah is a tiger. Tigers are a symbol of INDIA.

4. Lotus fountains (like the one we see when we're first introduced to Jasmine) are an Indian thing.

5. "Abu" is an Indian name.

People complaining about Naomi being cast as Jasmine because she's Indian need to educate themselves.

If you want a version of Aladdin with Jasmine being played by a Middle Eastern woman, then major in film and get a film degree. It's not Disney's job to please you.

As for the people complaining...

A fair number of Disney Princess DVDs were released in the early 2000's, and the series I'm most familiar with is the Princess Party line. To my knowledge, there were just two installments, both of which I apparently still own! These DVDs feature Disney Princess-related games, activities, and stories with the goal of helping to create a memorable DP-themed party for young girls. I first rented this disk from Blockbuster about a decade ago just to check out the games, so I have a bit of nostalgia for it. But how well does the content on the DVD hold up? Let's take a look!

DVD Features

Look down there! It's a song analysis!
Look down there! It's a song analysis!
Greetings! I'm ApplesauceDoctr, and today I present my fourth song analysis. This time though (somewhat similar to my "Reflection" analysis), I'll be comparing two songs -- "So This is Love" and "Dancing on a Cloud," both of which come from Disney's Cinderella. "Dancing on a Cloud," the deleted song, was written with the intent of doing what "So This is Love" later did -- to show how Cinderella and the prince fell in love with each other at the ball. While the two seem similar at first, further examination shows that the two are a bit different, and it gives a better understanding of why "Dancing...

12 Season Color Wheel
So I never really got to experience much of fashion-culture growing up and have just recently begun to give it any focus or attention. I have heard of the rule that "Redheads shouldn't wear pink." and I have seen some people discuss this here on FanPop in terms of Ariel and her pink dress. I have also read many comments debating Aurora's famous "Blue vs. Pink Dress". In those discussions, I heard a talented user on this site, link say things like "She's a Winter." etc. I thought that was so fascinating! I had never heard of this concept before so I decided to look into it. That is how I came...

The good ol' baddies
The good ol' baddies
Well, it's time for another article here in Scarletland! I admit, I had this need for wanting to make another article again, but I didn't know of what subject to make of. Then browsing around the Internet, the inspiration struck me: I could write about Disney villains! Genius! Because that subject isn't trite and overdone at all! (/sarcasm)

Jokes aside, I've been these last days thinking and analyzing the Disney villains more than usual (that is; I almost never think about them, so this was really unusual for me). Villains are essential for many of these movies, because if it weren't for them...

Saw an old question posted from a year ago that inspired me to write this. The question was about which Disney Princesses might make best friends, in pairs, based on commonalities. As I started to think about it, I found all of the commonalities to be quite interesting. So I decided to post my findings of commonalities (not go for the BFF route) just because I found it interesting what the princesses had so much in common. Hope you guys do too:

Snow & Aurora:
Both were royal but fled to the forest to escape their villains. Both were put under a sleeping spell. Both like to dance and initiate...

Hi everyone! I recently learned about the Bechdel Test from a friend and have been wanting to write this article ever since. This test is, at its core, an analysis of how women are portrayed in popular culture. It reveals how much women tend to revolve around men in films, books, etc. To pass the test, a film (or any other work of fiction) must meet three requirements: the film must (1) have at least two named female characters (2) who talk to each other (3) about something other than a man. It seems so simple, right? Unfortunately a surprising number of films fail in at least one of these...

This was reposted due to an unwanted and frankly annoying troll spamming my last article

Over the years, I've noticed that people really HATE Aurora in Keys To The Kingdom from Disney Princess Enchanted Tales: Follow Your Dreams. I've honestly never understood the hate she received, mainly because no one ever freaking EXPLAINS it! I've always asked and they just say "SHE SUCKS," or "SHE'S A GIRLY STEREOTYPE," or "SHE HAS A POP VOICE," and all that but they don't EXPLAIN! The reason this version of Aurora is so hated is even less explained than the plot holes in Frozen. First of all, Enchanted...

Okay, so I already did this, but with a different method. This time, I'll just be doing the regular way I always do it. Anyways, please keep in mind that this is my opinion, and we may disagree, so respect my opinion and I'll respect yours.

Enjoy the article! :)

13. Merida
In my opinion, she definitely isn't ugly, but she's not as pretty as the rest of the Disney Princesses here. First, I absolutely LOVE her curly red hair! It's absolutely gorgeous. I also love her eyes, they're very pretty, especially with the blue color to them. However, I do have a problem with her head. Her hair is...

Ok, so I'm going to list my top 10 favorite Disney Princess dresses. Since there's 10 spots, one Princess may be in the list multiple times and another may not be on it at all. Before my number one I will list honorable mentions that ALMOST made it onto my list. Time to start the list! Keep in mind that this is my opinion, and you might not agree. Enjoy the article!

10. Belle's gold dress

Maybe it's a tad overrated, but I think it deserves a lot of the attention it gets. It's absolutely gorgeous! Just look at it! And this is coming from someone who hates that color, and even I have to admit...

All right, this is really part analysis and half rant so if you dislike the Disney Princesses (and if you do I don't know why you're here!) or hate the ones who at any point need a man's help (which is all of them, but I'll get to that later), I don't recommend reading this.

I also must warn you: I discuss stuff about every princess and we have THIRTEEN NOW, so it'll be long. Feel free to skim to your favorites, though, if you wish, to make it shorter.

A lot of Disney fans and critics alike accuse the Princesses, specifically the older ones, of "sitting around waiting for a prince", "waiting...
