Disney Princess Club Background/Icon Workshop!

Since Fanpop instituted the 'gold' system, we are now able to vote on new club backgrounds and such. This forum is for all of us to come together to share our ideas with everyone, so that each club member will be able to contribute to the creative process, regardless of gold totals.

Here, we can discuss what kinds of motifs or characteristics we want these club identifiers to have. What colors? How simple? How can we bypass the awful white block under the background image?

Users can also share their creations here, so that we can all share our opinions on them outside the polls. This will be a much more democratic process than what is currently available.

A MODEL POST:

"Hey, everyone! This is a new background that I've been working on. What do you all think? Should I include it in the next poll?"

"I love the idea of this image, but I think it's too busy for the background. Maybe we can simplify it? Great job, though!"

Thank goodness, it looks like this is finally working! Thankfully now the half background and half white is no longer a problem. However, I can't stand the thought of going back to the white background permanently (it looks so BORING and plain) but the current one (depending on how much longer it lasts with the white background taking the lead in the newest poll) is too busy. We need something more fun but also more simple. I love the idea that audreybrooke had with this image. It's simple, fun, and fits the style of the club.

I also like this option, in case people aren't fond of the color pink. It goes more with the Cinderella icon and is still simple and light-colored.

This could work, but I don't think it would look as good with the banner like it would with the icon. Thebackground definitely should be able to match both the icon and the banner. over a year ago

So, it looks like kristenfan10109's third image won the poll and will now face off against the white background in the official selection!

I think we should conduct this process on either a bi-monthly or monthly basis, so maybe we could do another poll next month with new/old contenders? What do you all think?

i think monthly poll would be good, it'll stay relevant and top-of-mind and will give sufficient time for users to pour in new ideas. over a year ago
