Oh it's been so long
Sup! Some of y'all may not even know who I am and some of Y'all may remember me (I was a jerk and I want to say I'm sorry and I want to fix any relationships and try to become friends). But I'm princecatcher93 or Linnea. It's been about a few years since I was last here and last time I was here, Moana wasn't out yet (God it has been so long) so I have an updated ranking list (do people still do these?!?). I don't remember my old order but who cares! This is all personal so my reasons may seem strange to you but I'm a strange person.

14) Anna

Yep, three years and I still don't really like her, now with more shorts to add on with her personality, I just get bored by her, she just seems like a lot of the cutie I'm awkward and that's it type of girl.

13) Elsa

Maybe they switched places I don't know any more or care. Elsa hasn't really grown on me either since the movie came out but she just seems to be there in many things now to sing a cool song and wave her hands and then just stand back. She's kind of like a big name actress in like a comedy movie, there for one scene and then gone! Maybe The...

I haven't seen an article like this yet done before.

I love browsing through old Fanpop articles and reading other people's favorite Disney Princess lists. One thing I realized is that reading why someone else loves their favorite princess makes me love that princess even more! So I thought, why not combine all of these positive opinions together, like a convenient one-stop shop? All heard from their #1 favorite fans themselves.

The way I did this was snooping through old Fanpop and pulling out passages from each person's article. Tbh I'm not sure if I'm even allowed to do this?

Sorry if I didn't include yours. It's probably because I couldn't find your article or I just forgot. I might edit this later and add more people's blurbs in here.

SNOW WHITE

“Snow White is an amazing character, in my opinion. She is my favorite Disney Princess, and is my favorite Disney Character. She is also one of my favorite animated characters, and fictional characters in general. Now, let's talk about why. She has a mix of what I like in a character, she's sweet and kind, but she isn't a pushover. She can be a bit bossy, but doesn't...

After I watched the first 7 seasons of My Little Pony Friendship is Magic I started listening to the songs on repeat whenever I felt like it and there are songs from that show that had me thinking of some of the princesses and some of the characters in the movies. Here's a list of the songs, which characters the songs reminded me of, and why.

Song: Rainbow from My Little Pony the Movie
Character: All the princesses

This song is actually mostly for a character in the movie who was a villain but then reformed which isn't what happened to any of the princesses (except maybe Elsa, though while not a villain she did some things in Frozen that she regretted). However, like the villain in the movie almost all the princesses had to endure something painful (Snow White and Cinderella forced to be servants, Ariel losing her collection, Aurora finding out her life is a lie, Belle losing her freedom, Jasmine thinking someone died because of her, Tiana losing her dream restaurant, and Rapunzel locked up her whole life).

Years ago, I did an article about some fan-made grandchildren of Triton, excluding Melody, of course. However, I was going off the bull crap logic and "continuity" of the terrible prequel, The Little Mermaid 3: Ariel's Beginning. Instead, I'm going to be basing this off the personalities I've given the daughters of Triton in another article I did, which includes the age order of Aquata being the oldest daughter of Triton. I take into account the TV series, like I did with Arista's personality and Adella's design, because it is a faithful and worthy prequel to The Little Mermaid. The way this is going to work is that I will talk about the oldest daughter of Triton's children first and go in order of age of the daughter of Triton instead of by age of the grandchild so that no one gets confused about which child belongs to which of Ariel's sisters. Along with this, I will be including a fan-made son of Ariel and Eric at the end. Melody won't be included because she's an already existing character with an established personality and I'm doing this over fan-made characters and telling you the personalities I created for them. Some siblings will be included in one picture just because I...

Hi guys, I am currently watching a scene from The Swan Lake ballet. I actually notice a number of similarities between the popular ballet and Disney's retelling of The Little Mermaid. Since some Ballet Company has tragic endings, I will also cover on the original Hans Christian Anderson's novel in this article!

The Story

Both stories revolve around 2 young heroines and how they meet their fate, Odette is actually a young girl who was suddenly turn into a swan upon meeting Rothbart, the evil sorcerer.
Now upon seeing this, it reminded me of when Ursula turns Ariel a human after she storms out of her destroyed grotto by her father. Prompting the latter to regret his mistakes later on.
Another interesting scene that I would like to point out is when Vanessa hypnotises Eric to marry him, this particular scene reminds me of when Odile, Rothbath's sister who has an uncanny resemblance to Odette fools Prince Siegfried during the ball scene.

Hello Sissi!
Hi guys, I know that you guys want another princess with Brunette hair. So, here are my suggestions and my reason why.

1) Empress Elisabeth of Austria-Hungary (Sissi)

I first found her during my holiday in Vienna, Austria. Her life fascinates me and the most famous movie about her is the Sissi Trilogy featuring the Austrian actress name Romy Scneider, go check this film out!

2) Kate Middleton

She is another possible choice for a future Disney Princess who is a brunette. Her movie will be on how she met Prince William leading up to the Royal Wedding.

3) Queen Victoria

The movie maybe base on the 2009 film, The Young Victoria. Leading up to her relationship with her children, especially the future King Edward VII.

Any Brunette Favourites?

So, here are my 3 choices for a brunette Disney Princess. Do you have anymore suggestions? If so, please comment them on the comment box!

I got this idea from KataraLover after a long time of wondering what to write about. It was actually very easy to assign you all to these characters. I only have one, maybe two users for each princess so don’t feel bad if you’re not on here, we haven’t been very active lately on fanpop anyway. Anyway, on with the list!

1. Snow White

MalloMar - I’ve only just recently gotten to know her on here, but she’s really sweet and kind. I like her way of writing and can always appreciate her optimism so far. I’m looking forward to getting to know you better!

2. Cinderella

Sparklefairy375 - She’s really kind and generally sweet and level headed girl. A lot of the time when I see her comments she reminds me of what Snow White would say in this situation, whether it’s to keep the peace or something really pleasant and nice to say. I also think that Sparklefairy has a good sense of right and wrong and doesn’t let the bad things bother her. She speaks her mind and is always kind to others. I don’t know if anybody else does this...

Star Butterfly is the star of a Disney animated show called Star vs. the Forces of Evil. Star is my favorite Disney princess despite not being a part of the official Disney princess lineup.

1. Disney princesses have been accused of not being able to fight for herself, but no princess kicks more butt than Star. She has defeated Ludo and his henchmen several times. Marco often helps her, but he's more of a sidekick to her than her knight in shining armor.

2. Star is easily the funniest Disney princess. Her and the show have a unique style of humor that makes it stand out. The only Disney princess that's regularly funny that I can think of is Anna, but Star is much funnier. Star's a lot more eccentric and fun than any other Disney princess.

3. When it comes to visuals most Disney princesses are made to look beautiful, but I much prefer Star's unique design. She's a teenager and a comedic action hero so they didn't try to make her pretty. Instead they gave her a creative costume and a memorable look that makes her stand out.

The Snow Queen
Since the sequel is coming out next year, here are my personal opinions whether another character with snow powers will be feature in the sequel and whether or not shall will be the protagonist or the antagonist.

She should be the Antagonist

I would love to see Anna and Elsa having a wicked relative, who is actually their aunt and even has ice powers. But unlike Elsa's, their aunt's ice powers is more powerful.
Her main motive is set the whole of Arendelle on ice permanently, unfortunately her powers were remove by sisterly love.

She should be the Protagonist

She was possessed by an evil spirit and as mentioned, Anna and Elsa help their aunt to eliminate the evil spirit that gave their aunt the ice powers, thus reconciliation between aunt and her 2 nieces through love.
My second theory is that maybe she could be the source for Elsa's powers, and since Elsa could control it, she is going to control her aunt's ice powers.

The classic princesses are the heroines of Snow White and the 7 Dwarfs, Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty. This 3 movies were made between 1937 and 1959, and they are the only "official" princesses made by Walt Disney.

In the recent years we have seen an evolution on the female characters after them, but are they really as bad as they seem? They aren´t.

The 3 movies were made when women had less rights than men, and it was obviously a different mentality, but that doesn´t mean the characters itsef are sexist, they just live in sexist societies.

Snow White: Many people criticize Snow White for being "weak", or dumb, just because she cleans in the movie, she cleans the house bc she thinks the dwarfs are orphan children and maybe if she cleans the house they´ll let her stay. A very smart move on a 14 year old girl who almost got killed.
She doesn´t ask for a prince bc she can´t live without a man, she only talks about him when the dwarfs ask her too, it´s ok to dream about the only person who has said nice things about you in years. The Prince literally only appears twice in the movie, and he doesn´t do much lol.

Dark & Lightness
Hi guys, so this article is literary my first impressions on the 2017 live-action reboot of the Disney Classic that we all grew up with it.

The Cast

I was initially a little disappointed that Disney didn't get either Emmy Rossum or Anne Hathaway for Belle, but one problem with the latter is that Anne will be typecast as a royalty. So, Emmy would be the possible choice due to her singing experience.
Whereas the Beast may either be play by Gerard Butler, Patrick Wilson or Joaquin Phoenix, but with Emmy as Belle. It would be like Gerry has played the Phantom's ancestor while Emmy is Christine's ancestor, or that Patrick is playing Raoul's ancestor after all!
I have basically no comment about the rest of the cast at all, honestly speaking.

The Songs

This was another disappointment for me, because I thought that the songs for the musical were going to make way for the film, but it didn't!
But on the other hand, it was great that Alan Menken had written 3 new songs for the film especially.

I looked for a paragraph on Merida’s physical description on about four different Wikipedia pages. No luck. So that’s why her description is lacking detail compared to the others.

Snow White's Physical Beauty

"Snow White is a young 14-year old girl blessed with beauty so flawless and enchanting she is the "fairest in the land." The phrase "lips red as the rose, hair black as ebony, and skin white as snow", describes her most notable features, being her rosy red lips and rosy cheeks, and both her hair and skin color. She is sweet, but also shy. Being fairly short in height, Snow White has a rather slender, flat-chested figure, and dainty little feet."

And, as promised, here is the second part of the alphabet.

Honestly, this was easily the most difficult of them all. For one, there weren't exactly many picture options in the style I wanted. Two, the sheer Size of Maui made it difficult to fit him and a plant into the picture. I am actually not happy with having him directly behind the letter, but when I tried to place him in the swirl it just didn't work out at all. I paired her with the "N" because one of the two plants which is particularly prominent in "Moana" is the coconut, and "Niu" is the Polynesian name for the coconut palm.

This is another letter I am not quite happy with. For some reason it is easier to find pictures of Hans than finding pictures featuring Kristof. So I might redo this one down the line.

I went with the orange Tulip over a flower which actually start with "O" because the Tulip is a typical Scandinavian flower which often turns up in fabric patterns.

I know I did this countdown a couple months ago and I said a couple months ago I was gonna do the article when I had free time, I just didn't know I wasn't going to have any real free time for a few months. But, look! Now I've finally done it! Yay! Sorry for the wait, guys!

10. Merida fighting Fergus and Elinor fighting Mor'Du

Merida fighting Fergus was a brief fight, it was just her stopping him from killing Elinor. The excitement doesn't really start until Mor'Du comes in and is getting ready to kill Merida then Elinor goes full on mama bear on him. The reason I like this scene so much is because Elinor was never a fighter, she spent the whole movie thinking that a lady should never use weapons and shouldn't fight but once her daughter is in danger she does not hesitate to jump in and fight Mor'Du and even goes as far as killing him. This scene is a perfect example of what happens when you come after a mama bear's cub.

Usually I don't post articles here any longer, because I have my own blogs to take care of. But this is a little project I did specifically for this club: Entry letters you can use every time you write an article.

Now, I first wanted to sort Disney Princess characters on letters, but I soon realised that there are way too many characters whose name start with A, B or P. I would have been impossible to include even all Disney Princesses if I had done it this way. So in the end, I decided to do a plant based alphabet. I hope you like the result.

I picked the Anemone for John Smith for a kind of convoluted reason. See, I think nothing symbolizes him as well as his compass does. But a compass is not a flower. But the Anemone is, which is also called "Bushwindröschen" in German which means as much as little scrub Windrose. And a Windrose is what the middle part of the compass is called, so there we go, the A is covered.

I am not sure how many people are aware of that, but "Rapunzel" is actually supposed to be the name of a plant in the original fairy tale. Thing is, nobody is quite clear about what...

So good to see them together!
Since the 4 piece boy band are popular in Asia, including Malaysia. Here are my song choices from this British boy-band.

1) Don't Wanna Lose You Again

The 3 classic princes will sing this to their respective princesses, even Prince Eric will sing this at the end while rescuing Ariel!

2) Like A Rose

From the Beast's perspective, he will sing this song about Belle and especially about the Rose as a constant reminder to break the spell.

3) Trust Me

Aladdin and Jasmine will sing this a duet, in this song, Aladdin tells Princess Jasmine to trust him!

4) Waiting for Daylight

Moments before the final showdown, Pocahontas will sing this song. This song represents her!

5) No More

This song is all about Mulan's and Shang's relationship, especially when they first meet.

6) Caught in the Middle

Tiana has become a frog alongside Prince Naveen, and Tiana will sing this song.

New Update edit: I wasn't happy with Belle, Jasmine and Pocahontas' new backgrounds so I changed them to something a bit more funny.

Ariel's Background

"Ariel is an independent, headstrong and determined young mermaid. She spends most of her time outside the palace walls of Atlantica singing, daydreaming, and adventuring with her best friend Flounder the guppy fish, and sometimes Sebastian the crab who is also the royal adviser to Ariel's father. Ariel is the youngest of Triton's seven daughters and is 16 years old. She has a vast fascination with the world of humans, despite such contact being forbidden by Triton, who is xenophobic and forbids contact between humans and her species."

I finally worked out how to do this. My mistake was mixing too many languages together which made it impossible to translate it back into full English. That's why Snow White's paragraph came back with only one sentence. I've done a remake of it with funny results including Cinderella and Aurora's stories.

Snow White's Background

"Snow White was born into the royal family. Her mother died shortly after her birth. After some time, Snow White's father remarried a vain and cold-hearted queen. Not long after their marriage, the King, Snow White's beloved father, suspiciously died, leaving the young princess as an orphan.

As a young child, Snow White's vain and wicked stepmother the Evil Queen feared that one day Snow White's beauty would surpass her own. So, she dressed Snow White in rags and forced her to work as a scullery maid to try to quench her growing beauty. Each day, the Queen consulted her magic mirror asking, "Magic Mirror on the wall, who is the fairest one of all?" As long as the Mirror...

Those were the good old days!
Hi guys, remember that I wrote about the Westlife a few months ago. So now, it's their American counterpart N*Sync's turn as to what songs the princesses would love to listen and serenade it with their respective princes!

1. Someday, Somewhere

The 3 princesses will dance and sing with their princes, hoping that they will meet each other one day!

2. Thinking of You (I Drive Myself Crazy)

Since the accident, Eric could not stop thinking of Ariel. So, it could serve as a duet for the couple.

3. Music Of My Heart/ It's Gonna Be Me

Considering that Belle is involve in a love triangle, Gaston and the Beast will sing the latter. As for the former, the Beast will sing this ballad to Belle after being transform back into a Prince.

4. This I Promise You

Originally sung by Richard Marx and then later covered by Shane Filan of Westlife fame, this song serves a duet for both Jasmine and Aladdin.

We all know the tale as old as time that is Disney's 1991 animated film, Beauty and the Beast. It was a smash hit when it came out and was the first animated film in history to be nominated for best picture. It wasn't nominated for best-animated picture because that category didn't even exist back then, it was nominated for best picture PERIOD! It didn't win but that was still impressive because an animated film being nominated for best picture was absolutely unheard of. It's still a beloved classic to this day and for good reason. The animation is gorgeous, the romance is amazing, the characters are likable and memorable, and the songs are incredible. Many have said that this movie is perfect and that there is nothing wrong with it. I personally disagree with that for reasons I'll get into later, but it's still one of Disney's best movies.

So with Disney's trend of doing live-action remakes of their animated films, it was only a matter of time before they decided to do a remake of Beauty and the Beast. The remakes have varied in quality with some being absolutely awful and a disgrace to the original films (Maleficent and Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland films), some...

Team Belle?
Hi guys, I'm going to be writing why I felt that Cinderella is better than Beauty and the Beast. No, it's not their animated counterparts, I'm referring to their respective live-action counterparts.

The Characters

In Cinderella, the title character's role was expanded unlike her animated counterpart. Her character development has significantly improve and I'm very happy about it, because we get to more about Cinderella and how she got her trademark name. Which is taken from the original fairy-tale!
Whereas in Beauty and the Beast, they actually copycat the animated feature, Belle's and the Beast's characters are almost identical to their animated counterparts. I was not particularly very happy with the Beast at all, because he's not very hotheaded and ferocious enough, especially during the West Wing scene!
Honestly speaking, I have no comments on both Gaston, Lady Tremaine. But Anastasia and Drizella were also for comic relief, to which I truly appreciate it! Finally, the enchanted objects are not so self-centred as their animated counterpart. To which the latter's true nature were shown in Humans Again, a song to which I grew to...

11. Charlotte's wedding dress
This dress is very....interesting. Like there's some parts of it that's pretty but it's kinda over the top and so so so pink Obviously this is a dress for Charlotte because almost every formal dress we see her wear is pink and over the top because that's her style. I'm always for people wearing what they want, whether it be cosplay (don't judge me, I'm a geek and proud :P ) or just wearing a different colored dress. This, however, doesn't exactly scream "wedding dress" to me. It actually reminds me of one of those cakes that has the doll in the middle of it.

10. Tiana's swamp wedding dress
Personally I liked this dress; I loved seeing Tiana wear it in Disneyland and I thought it fit well with the swamp thing. So I didn't know what to expect when I did this countdown, I figured some people didn't like it but what I didn't expect was....the comments about it looking like a cabbage Ever since I saw those comments that's all I think about now when I see this dress. Even though it's supposed to look like a big leafy dress (because...

I know Anna isn't real - but I still want to wish her a Happy Birthday.
Last year, I wrote an article where I listed off of my 40 favorite fan-arts of Anna. It was June 21st, a.k.a. Anna's Birthday. And I wanted to honor that by writing that article. I did the same with Elsa and I even wrote a sequel article to that article. Now, I'm doing the same for Anna. She may not be as popular as her sister, but she will always be just as important to me.
The rules are the same: 1.This time, I'll only list off 25 instead of 40; 2.I'll reuse fan-arts from the Elsa ones as long as they feature Anna; 3.I won't include official artworks or screenshots from anything she appeared in. I will only include things made by the fans, as a loving tribute to this amazing character.

1."Anna's Beauty"

I don't know the name of the artist, but that doesn't stop me from enjoying this amazing piece of work!
Anna looks both beautiful and adorable here. The contrast of bright colors with the dark colors of her clothes are really spectacular. Another detail I noticed is that the image contains both snowflakes and flowers. The snowflakes presumably represent Elsa and the flowers represent Anna. This could represent that...
