10. Aurora
I have nothing against her, but she is not that brave in my opinion. The only thing brave that comes to my mind of her is to talk with a boy that you don't know, and then flirt with him. To me, that is something that takes an outgoing person to do, and I'm not that outgoing.

9.Cinderella
Again, I have nothing against her, but she is still not that brave. Sure she is brave, but not as brave as the other people on this list.She worked as a servant girl almost all her life. And that my friends, is something I would despise doing. But she didn't just run away. So that is why it got her a nine.

8. Jasmine
If you feel strongly about this placement, have this in mind. It's just my opinion, and I am just publishing my view on it.Why she got this placement was that she did something great, but not great enough to be higher on this list.

7.Ariel
I'm pretty sure I spelled in wrong, but oh well. Why Ariel was placed on a seven, was that She did a number of brave things, like going to a sea witch, and saved a prince. And leaving her home to be with a guy. Actually scratch that. That leaving home thing was not brave! That is called desperate. If Ariel is your favorite Disney Princess, please don't yell at me in the comment section.

6.Snow White
Although she is not my favorite Disney princess, she was actually pretty brave. I would scream, and like go far, far away to were my evil stepmother can not travel on foot for many years. She stayed hopeful in the face of danger, and her sweet attitude actually made her brave.

5. Rapunzel
She was actually pretty brave. She was stuck in a tower all her life, and never went outside.I would actually be terrified. She finally stood up to Gothol! But not as much as the other princesses.

4. Tiana
Why she was braver than Rapunzel was the same reason why she became one of my favorites. She stuck to her dream! She actually stopped her dream for true love!!!!

3. Pochohantas
She was actually in the top three!! Why she was in the top three was that she actually stopped blood shed, because she stood up to her father because he was going to kill John. And he jumped from a cliff!

2.Belle
Why she was braver then number three was that she would spend the rest of hoer life with a best instead of letting her father rot in a jail cell. She was actually brave enough to not marry Gaston.

1.Mulan
Why she beat out Belle was for this reason. She was going to be in the army to protect her Dad.She was brave at camp and in battle, and better yet, when Mulan was shown as a girl, she still served her country!!! Ya, that is so brave!

Swanpride I actually think that Rapunzel is the bravest (certainly the strongest), because she has the hardest hurdle to overcome emotionally speaking. And I would put Pocahontas towards the bottom, perhaps even on last place. The only the SHE had to do was owning up to her father that she is involved with John Smith, but no, she stays silent until it is nearly to late. If not for the convenient sign, she would have hide out with Grandmother Willow forever! Otherwise...I totally agree about Snow White being braver than Ariel and Jasmine, if for no other reason because Snow White IS afraid but does what she has to do nevertheless while Ariel and Jasmine have no sense for danger. Lack of fear is not bravery, it's stupidity in my eyes.

maryksand I'm going to respectfully disagree with this list and Swanpride comment. Please note that it's entirely my opinion and I'm not trying to force it on either of you. While Ariel and Jasmine - especially the latter - commited certain pretty reckless acts with no consideration for consequences Snow White's stupidity was astonishing because A) she was fully aware of the fact that the Evil Queen was after her and already had an attempt on her life once using the third person B) was instructed multiple times to NOT let anyone into the house by the dwarfs C) STILL let the old hag into the house and [i]ate something given by a random complete stranger[/i]. Even though she couldn't possibly know the Evil Queen was capable of using magic powers to transform she should have used her brain to figure out the Queen could easily use anyone - including the old seemingly harmless person - in order to get to her. For the life of me cannot process and comprehend the bravery in the act of running into the forest imagining scary figures that were in fact trees. At least when Rapunzel saw the bunny which caused an enormously traumatizing feeling of fear and anxiety she had a good reason behind it due to the years of brainwashing into being scared of everything outside of her tower due to the misconceptions and misguided perception of the world itself effectively implanted in her mind by Gothel. I just find it ironic that Ariel would be deprived of the credit for willingly staying around the burning ship before and after it's explosion despite the pieces of debris falling into the water, effectively avoiding the harm in order to be able to save someone's life while Snow White is praised for freaking out at the sight of trees. I'm not the biggest fan of Belle but in my opinion the second place is entirely deserved as well as Mulan's objectively inavitable victory. Just IMO.

Swanpride @maryksand To me, bravery is not the absense of fear, but being afraid of something and nevertheless facing your fears. It doesn't matter if the fears are logical or not. Ariel or Jasmine for example don't really feel fear because they tend to disregard the consequences of their actions. But that's not really bravery for me - well, at least it's not as brave as being truly terrified of something and doing it nevertheless. Mulan for example is not brave because she faces an army, she is brave because 1. It's entirely her choice to be there 2. She IS aftraid when she joins the army, but she does it nevertheless. 3. She even has a way out, but she rather gets the arrow and proves herself than giving up.

maryksand @Swanpride as I mentioned, I'm not going to argue on the matter and it really is up to subjective interpretation and personal perception. It would be ignorant and inconsiderate of me to proceed forcing my point on you (or the author of the article) when you clearly don't agree. However, I still stick to what I said previously. There are credits that certain princesses are being continously and systematically deprived of and in my opinion Ariel never gets a deserved credit for bravery. I'm sure there are a lot of traits and admirable aspects of Snow White's character and I'll be the first to name a few: she is the most kind hearted, most patient and optimistic princess out of all, among other things, and I entirely and fully acknowledge that despite her being my least favourite due to the fact that her characterization does not strike me as compelling or layered/challenging. In a "most reckless countdown" I'll be the first to place Ariel and Pocahontas as a fair tie for the number one despite my love for either. However, when it comes to bravery Ariel's willingess to risk herself to save someone's life far outweights Snow White's irrational fear of trees during her mission related to saving herself. I also don't agree that Ariel and Jasmine had no fear. Ariel had a completely terrified look on her face when the debris of the ship started falling and yet she still sticked around to make sure she can save Eric whereas Snow White would have likely run away screaming in a similar situation. In my opinion, Mulan, Belle, Rapunzel and Ariel are the bravest princesses, but that is, as I already highlighted multiple times, just MY opinion. Neither you nor the author have to agree with me in that departement at all.

Swanpride @BookWorm No worries, it's just a friendly discussion...if we should stop, just say it. @maryksand That's actually a good point...yeah, towards the end Ariel finally is terrified and is sticking around nevertheless. But stuff like swimming into the wreck for some trinkets isn't bravery Imho, it's stupidity. But Pocahontas...really what does she do what is so brave? Impending war or not, that's her father she has to confront, he will hardly kill her. And the whole thing would be way less dramatic if she hadn't been to afraid to act sooner.

rhythmicmagic @maryksand- I simply want to point out one thing about your argument against Snow White. You mention Rapunzel's irrational fear of a rabbit and say it was justified due to the brainwashing she had been subjected to by Gothel. I would say that Snow White is entirely justified in her fear of the forest due to the fact the the huntsman had just tried to murder her and she had just discovered that a psychotic queen would stop at nothing to see her dead. If you threw an average person alone into a dark forest after surviving a murder attempt and discovering that sort of information, I bet pretty much anyone would react the same way. Fun to read. 100% agree with you top two.

maryksand @BelleAnastasia yeah, right: Jasmine going to a stranger man's house with no regard for potential danger or the fact that he could have assaulted her there and then vs. Ariel going with Eric who she KNOWS is a good person and would never hurt her. @rhythmicmagic I see your point, but there is a vast difference between being afraid of the FOREST as it is - which I agree can cause a certain discomfort and distress/nervousness when going through all alone at night - and making up certain illogical and baseless conclusions about potentially harmless objects that Snow White in particular had seen before contrary to Rapunzel who had never been outside prior to leaving her tower, on top of the brainwashing she got to endure that was specifically directed at making her fear of the nature so she wouldn't leave. @Swanpride I think we really are talking about different things here... Never did I say that some of Ariel's actions were not stupid or reckless, however, it does not diminish the validity of her bravery in regards to saving another person multiple times which does IMO far outweight Snow White's irrational fear of trees while she was running away to save her own life.

Swanpride I guess people have never seen a real European Forest...they are really dark and scary places, and were more so back then, when the wildlife was still way more dangerous. And I somehow doubt that Snow White was ever out of the castle beforehand.

maryksand ^ Here in Russia where I live we have forests like that, which might be a primary reason why I'm not finding them paticulary scary because in our culture forests are considered heavenly, mysterious places people need to take care of or even worship. My point is that while I can entirely comprehend where people are coming from with their issues regarding Ariel's behaviour (and I do consider the vast majority of her choices to be profoundly problematic although understandable), it isn't much of a constructive and objective critique to deprive her of a well deserved credit for bravery in my opinion while giving one to a girl who freaked out seeing a bunch of harmless trees. And while Snow White might not have been out of the castle before, she did see trees in the Queen's garden therefore had no reason to demonize them.

Ok so I think the way him and Snow White sing is adorable and you know the whole true loves kiss thing was sweet too...but we never see this guys personality sure he seems really nice and ofcourse charming but we don't know if he's funny or you know all that other stuff so yeah sadly he's at the bottom because I just don't know much about him.

Day 16 - Favorite singing voice: Cinderella

Her voice is so calming, sweet and just amazing. But in terms of speaking voice Snow White wins, her voice is so adorable though I love her singing voice too

Hi everyone! This is another rank of Fanpop's prettiest princesses. Yes, another one? Well, let me explain for those that did not participate in the pick.

This is different from the past two prettiest countdowns we just had because this rank takes into account both the high and the low ranks of the princesses. The normal countdown takes into account getting rid of low-ranked princesses on people's lists, while the reverse countdown gets rid of high-ranked princesses on people's lists. This ranking here is a middleground between "most pretty" and "getting rid of the least pretty", and thus,...
