Disney Heriones
Disney Heriones
The two most popular Disney women outside of the DP franchise. These two exotic beauties are definitely fan favorites when it comes to Animated Heriones, so why aren't they apart of the official line-up? The main reason people complain about Mulan being an official princess is that she gets recognized when these two ladies don't. Even though Megara is closer to royalty than her and Esmeralda is pretty much equal to Mulan. So basically I'm going to do the same thing I did with Merida. Look at the Pros and Cons of adding Esmeralda and Megara to the line-up. The only difference is, Merida still has a chance to be a Disney Princess. For these two that ship as sailed, but at least they get to be in merchandise every once in a while. You'll also notice that I'm alittle more detailed in this article, fully explaining my points. Let's get started.
Hopeless Romantic
Hopeless Romantic

Reasons Why
-Esmeralda's Spanish and Megara's Greek, adding alot more diversity to the line-up.
-Megara ends up with Hercules, the son of a God. She may not be a princess but she is royalty.
-Both girls sing in their films, God Help The Outcasts and I Won't Say I'm In Love are both popular songs.
-Both women are great role models for young girls to look up to.
-Megara is role model for young ladies in that she refuses to be a damsel in distress
-Esmeralda is a good role model for people as whole. She wants to put an end to prejudice.
Gypsy and Activist

Reasons Why Not
-Both of their films are failures by Disney's standards. They didn't do terrible by any means but in comparison to The Lion King and Aladdin it's pretty bad.
-Neither of them are the main character in their movies. Let's be honest here, Jasmine just got lucky because her film earned alot of money.
-Esmeralda's movie is rather dark, mature and not very suitable for a franchise for little girls.
-Megara's design is completely outta whack compared to the other princesses.
Dynamic Duo

Personally, I really want these two to be offiicial Disney Princesses and it really bothers me that they're not. With all the other heriones, like Jane, Alice, Kida, Nala, Lilo, it's easy to see why they're not apart of DP. But with Megara and Esmeralda, it's harder pinpoint why because they fit the criteria so well. They sing, they fall in love and they're from different cultures. I truly don't understand why Disney won't acknowledge these strong and beautiful ladies. I love Esmeralda's sex appeal and I love Megara's deadpan snarker attitude. Maybe one day Disney will see the errors of their ways. For now, I'm comfortable with the official line up but it could be much better with these two action girls.
12 Season Color Wheel

So I never really got to experience much of fashion-culture growing up and have just recently begun to give it any focus or attention. I have heard of the rule that "Redheads shouldn't wear pink." and I have seen some people discuss this here on FanPop in terms of Ariel and her pink dress. I have also read many comments debating Aurora's famous "Blue vs. Pink Dress". In those discussions, I heard a talented user on this site, link say things like "She's a Winter." etc. I thought that was so fascinating! I had never heard of this concept before so I decided to look into it. That is how I came...

The good ol' baddies
The good ol' baddies
Well, it's time for another article here in Scarletland! I admit, I had this need for wanting to make another article again, but I didn't know of what subject to make of. Then browsing around the Internet, the inspiration struck me: I could write about Disney villains! Genius! Because that subject isn't trite and overdone at all! (/sarcasm)

Jokes aside, I've been these last days thinking and analyzing the Disney villains more than usual (that is; I almost never think about them, so this was really unusual for me). Villains are essential for many of these movies, because if it weren't for them...

Saw an old question posted from a year ago that inspired me to write this. The question was about which Disney Princesses might make best friends, in pairs, based on commonalities. As I started to think about it, I found all of the commonalities to be quite interesting. So I decided to post my findings of commonalities (not go for the BFF route) just because I found it interesting what the princesses had so much in common. Hope you guys do too:

Snow & Aurora:
Both were royal but fled to the forest to escape their villains. Both were put under a sleeping spell. Both like to dance and initiate...

Hi everyone! I recently learned about the Bechdel Test from a friend and have been wanting to write this article ever since. This test is, at its core, an analysis of how women are portrayed in popular culture. It reveals how much women tend to revolve around men in films, books, etc. To pass the test, a film (or any other work of fiction) must meet three requirements: the film must (1) have at least two named female characters (2) who talk to each other (3) about something other than a man. It seems so simple, right? Unfortunately a surprising number of films fail in at least one of these...

This was reposted due to an unwanted and frankly annoying troll spamming my last article

Over the years, I've noticed that people really HATE Aurora in Keys To The Kingdom from Disney Princess Enchanted Tales: Follow Your Dreams. I've honestly never understood the hate she received, mainly because no one ever freaking EXPLAINS it! I've always asked and they just say "SHE SUCKS," or "SHE'S A GIRLY STEREOTYPE," or "SHE HAS A POP VOICE," and all that but they don't EXPLAIN! The reason this version of Aurora is so hated is even less explained than the plot holes in Frozen. First of all, Enchanted...

Okay, so I already did this, but with a different method. This time, I'll just be doing the regular way I always do it. Anyways, please keep in mind that this is my opinion, and we may disagree, so respect my opinion and I'll respect yours.

Enjoy the article! :)

13. Merida
In my opinion, she definitely isn't ugly, but she's not as pretty as the rest of the Disney Princesses here. First, I absolutely LOVE her curly red hair! It's absolutely gorgeous. I also love her eyes, they're very pretty, especially with the blue color to them. However, I do have a problem with her head. Her hair is...

Ok, so I'm going to list my top 10 favorite Disney Princess dresses. Since there's 10 spots, one Princess may be in the list multiple times and another may not be on it at all. Before my number one I will list honorable mentions that ALMOST made it onto my list. Time to start the list! Keep in mind that this is my opinion, and you might not agree. Enjoy the article!

10. Belle's gold dress

Maybe it's a tad overrated, but I think it deserves a lot of the attention it gets. It's absolutely gorgeous! Just look at it! And this is coming from someone who hates that color, and even I have to admit...

All right, this is really part analysis and half rant so if you dislike the Disney Princesses (and if you do I don't know why you're here!) or hate the ones who at any point need a man's help (which is all of them, but I'll get to that later), I don't recommend reading this.

I also must warn you: I discuss stuff about every princess and we have THIRTEEN NOW, so it'll be long. Feel free to skim to your favorites, though, if you wish, to make it shorter.

A lot of Disney fans and critics alike accuse the Princesses, specifically the older ones, of "sitting around waiting for a prince", "waiting...

I was bored so I decided to write an article about which princesses look like which greek goddesses, since I'm greek and I love the Greek Mythology. Enjoy!

Hera- Jasmine

Firstly, Hera has a serious problem with her temper, like Jasmine. She likes getting revenge and even though we don't see Jasmine as revengeful, I believe that if someone hurts her, she won't forget it so easily (besides Aladdin, she forgives him every time, like Hera forgives Zeus). Also, Hera protects women which means she's a feminist, again like Jasmine. Another common, is thei history with their husbands. Zeus...

Oh, I hate this one
Oh, I hate this one
I know shocking, the so called "Best movie ever" is disliked by me. I know most of you are like "oh, this chick again here to bitch about some more stuff." But I don't care I can state my Opinions even if I present them as though they are facts. About Frozen, No, I don't just hate I because it's so popular but the 'hype' I dislike as well, sorry but I dislike lots of things. Is there a problem? Anyway I recently made a wall post hoping to find someone that could tell me WHY they liked Frozen so I could watch it with an Open mind.
