Why was Cinderella's hair color changed from its original burnt orange color to blond?

I THINK it's because they wanted the packaging to match how she actually looked in the packaged product. I don't know for sure, though.

In the vhs somtimes it looks more blonde and other times it looks more reddish, i think theyve mad eher a brighter more yellow/bleach blonde than originally intended

I'm not contradicting you, but then why would it also be the Titain color in advertise ments? i know the Blonde they use on the dvd today was not a color possible when Cinderella was originally made, but titain the color in appears on the old vhs was a popular hair color back when it was made

I don't know, but I also don't like how they change her dress from white to blue.

I do agree that in the lineup Cinderella's hair is a brighter yellow than in the movie. In the movie, her hair was a slightly darker shade. Even in the DVDs I've seen, her hair is not as bright as on the merchandise. In the lineup, Aurora looks like she has darker hair than Cinderella, more golden yellow. But in the movie, Aurora's hair looks like a very pale yellow.

It wasn't actually changed. The old VHS tapes were just of a poorer quality that made her hair look wrong. If you'd seen it in theatres WAY back when, it was blonde.

I think here hair is supposed to be a strawberry-blonde, or a reddish blonde. But's gone to being very bright, very light blonde.

If you look at the DVD extras I remember them saying that her hair was originally intended to be strawberry blond/brown.
