Why do Hand- Drawn movies are more popular?

I prefer hand drawn because there’s more variety in styles and looks. Like in Lilo and Stitch they used watercolor backgrounds. And 2D animation gives characters more emotion and they actually look different from other 2D characters (look at Rapunzel and Honey Lemon for example)

When it comes to CGI I prefer Dreamworks and Pixar

they are so beautiful, they are hand drawn, they sing all the time

Maybe it's a generational thing -- I'm old enough to remember when CGI movies were still rare and grew up with the old-fashioned hand-drawn movies on their VHSs and later DVDs. Even some of the 90s movies' CGI looks fairly modern to me relative to the older Disney movies. Disney so often represents our childhood, and when I think of Disney, the movies that come immediately to mind are all older than 20 years ... So that might have something to do with it.
