Disney Princess Question

Anyone have any guesses what Frozen will be like?

We all know how reliable wikis are... but this one has a plot description, which doesn't sound terribly original: link

Gee, a flawed, optimistic free-spirit against her uptight, less admirable sister.... sounds like Charlotte/Tiana, Poca/Nakoma, Ariel/her sisters, etc.

Also, who is Hans? link it lists him as her possible husband. Anna's wiki (I think) also states that Elsa will NOT be the villain, so that means someone else will be. I always thought this, because why else would they introduce a villain into the DP franchise? That's exactly why they didn't want Meg in it, because she was too much of a villainous character for most of the movie. I think Elsa will be interesting- she's not quite a villain but not supposed to be seen as the hero either (at first, anyway).

Anna sounds like a very, very unoriginal character but I love Elsa already (I love snow-elemental characters and Idina Menzel's singing and acting!) so I am a bit excited for it.

I just wish Disney would stop twisting these perfectly good fairy tales to the point of no recognition! The last few (PATF, Tangled) were especially bad about that. Frozen has nothing in common with The Snow Queen but having- duh- a snow queen, and a brave young girl go find her.

I think it will be an interesting story, I'm not sure about Anna, I'll have to wait for the film to completely judge her character but I think she'll be the type to get her head on the clouds often, not necessarily about a goal of hers but just plain day dreaming. And her relationship with Kristoff will be something like Anastasia and Dimitri. I'm starting to love Elsa too! She's seems like a deep and interesting character and I'm excited to follow on her side story, which I think will be emotional hardships.

I don't mind Disney twisting the fairytales, as long as the story stands good on their own I'm fine with it.

Those words were in Anna's description? (grunts). They need to make a bigger variety of female protagonists personality-wise. Something tells me Hans might be a villain (chiche twists). Wikis are the worst for reliabity-wise.

I think there is more to Megara not being included. Firstly, she is the TRItagonist and only appears in the second half of the film, she is too sexy and mature for little girls, and probably the biggest factor is that the company sees this as one of their biggest disappointments.

I am smelling a formula coming. Someone tell me if they feel that way as well.

I have no problem with the company twisting up stories, but I do not like is that if it is done to bring 2010's characters and dialogue into a fairytale setting, under 2010's personality and story arcs. This gives films a gimmicky feel that DreamWorks is so known for.

I do have high hopes for it, and it does have a big chance of winning Best Animated Feature this year, but I should not get ahead of myself.

A man who work for Disney publishing and who was on early screening of "Frozen" said that Anna's acting is very Rapunzel-like and Sven acts like a dog (like Maximus)

I think Anna would be a lot like Rapunzel in term of personnality (and look). But Elsa sounds like a very complex, interesting and original character.
The rotoscoper talked about a love triangle between Anna,Kristoff and Hans.

Ps: NEVER trust Disney wikia, once they said that Merida has autistic traits.

× Oh yeah, I remember reading that on Merida's page on the wiki. Anna acting Rapunzel-like, Sven acting Maximus-like (sighs). My prediction is becoming true. I am looking forward to Elsa though

Idina Menzel is going to be the speaking and singing voice of Elsa? I love her! She has a great voice! I'm sort of back and forth with Anna and Elsa. I mean I do love that whole free-spirited and adventurous protagonist but I also love complex characters. The movie sounds like it's going to be really great, as long as it doesn't do false advertising like Brave. So far the information about Frozen is all over the place.
