Best: The animation, the scale was great. Also, the plot, it's a very strong plot.
Worst: The characters, they're so disengaging. The king is the only consistently interesting and entertaining character. Also, the first half of the movie is very slow-moving, it leads practically nowhere.
What could have made it better: Good character development and a purpose in the first half.

They should have focused more on character development and less on the mice. IMO they should have got rid of the mice all together because they don't add to the movie.

Best: The use of the empty space, especially the scale of the palace is very impressive. The transformation scene is very iconic. Great Characters all around, and I especially love the way the movie tells the story with a wink in the eyes...like when the Grand Duke narrates that this will only happen in fairy tales while Charming meets Cinderella. Also, a dream is a wish your heart makes is a very impressive piece of music, slightly sugary, but it works great as main theme for the movie. I also really like the character design, and the way the movie plays with light and shadow...very impressive, especially for the 1950. And a big kudos for squeezing as much suspension as possible out of the few truly suspenseful moments of this story.

Worst: It is hard to fault the movie for that because I know that they wanted more screen time for Charming, they just didn't have the ability to animate a prince properly, but it's nevertheless sometimes like two movies in one, with the mice vs Lucifer being one story, and Cinderella being the other one. And the dubbing...it's okay, but I prefer the German one. The voices of the mice work much better there, especially Gus has better lines.

What could be better: Aside from what I already said about the dubbing, I think they should have (if possible) at least added a scene with Charming's reaction to the plans of his father.
