Tiana doesn't want anything to do with something taking up valuable time she could be using to work for her restaurant, and she doesn't like trying new things. Tiana is more serious and mature and might think Rapunzel is a bit silly and childish. Rapunzel would think Tiana is too grounded and not fun, though admire her independence. Tiana wouldn't understand why Rapunzel is so sure the lights mean anything, let alone for her, as she doesn't believe in that stuff.
