Should Sofia become an official Disney Princess? Why?

No. Reasons!
-She is a child. Not even like a 12 year old child, she's like 8. The princesses are teenagers/adults, not little girls. PLUS if MELODY and EILONWY were not included in the line up (I don't want them to be, but this is a true example) because they are children (and other reasons...) then Sofia should not be allowed either.
- She is not a movie heroine. Sofia is a TV Show heroine. Yes, she may have a movie, but it was premiered on Disney Junior, and went straight to DVD. Disney Princess movies should be theatrical, and should be true Disney, not just DVD movie from a kids channel.
- She would not fit in with the other heroines. She would completely stand out and look rediculous, a little child surrounded by teenagers in the line up. Plus, don't you think the line up is getting a bit big already. We just added Merida to the line up (which I actually did not mind) and we will be adding Anna later in the year. Vanellope is also a princess but is a child and would not fit into the line up. She has way more reasons to be included in the line up, but she would not fit in either. I just don't think it would work.
- Last reason, IMO I don't want her in the line up. She's cute. That's it for me. The princess movies are designed for any age, her 'movie' and 'TV series' is designed for little girls. I don't want a little girl and a little girl movie added to the line up.

absolutely yes, shes a disney royal, and a good role model, the fact that she isn't an official disney princess now is mind boggling. it shouldn't even be up for debate, its common sense, people arguing that she shouldn't be an official disney princess are like people arguing against gravity.

No. Sofia is just a child. Yeah, she sings and is a nice role model for little girls. But she doesn't have her own movie (Not talking about the TV movie that went straight to DVD; she should have a theatrical one) and she has to at least be a teenager.

No,because she is a child and from a television show first and foremost. Merida breaking the rules was bad enough.

No! She will be out of place in the lineup! Yes she is a princess, a good role model, but look at some of disney girls like Kida and Megara, they aren't part of the lineup. Then why should Sofia be? She will be out of place! Imagine her in the lineup...

why does her age matter? she acts OLDER than she is... exactly like the DPs. they look and act 28 half the time. It's bad for little girls to look up to a (mature) little girl, but it's better that they looks up to... teens? =\

I don't know why she isn't an official one but I consider her to be. And with that, people can stop screaming about having a Hispanic princess, because, WE HAVE ONE.

I agree about the TV thing though. Just give her a real movie. It would be cool if it had 2D animation but I'm sure that won't happen.

i say yes but not yet because most of the princess have prince's and she dose'nt and every princess need's a prince charming

No not really because I can't really see her as a face character at disney I would probably see her more as a fur character.
