Merida would initially be turned off by Snow's girliness and constant cheerfulness, and may not give her much of a chance. Snow, too, would initially dislike Merida's attitude but she isn't the type to be rude or hold grudges over stuff like that, so she would still be sweet to her. She would probably try to win her over and gently tease her like Grumpy. I think Merida would have a hard time finding things to do with her, but she would like that Snow likes the outdoors. She might also like and be amused by how Snow is bossy, outspoken, spunky and domineering (she would wish her mom was more like THAT kind of bossy). she wouldn't like that Snow needed the prince to save her, though, and Snow would find how she talks to Elinor shocking and awful.

So while they don't have a lot in common, Merida might show more patience and affection with Snow than she might, say, Belle and Cinderella, because Snow's spunk appeals to her and her gentle bossiness a nice change from her mom's rules.

I'm doing an article related to this so I've got most of these thought out ;)
