Why is Merida being included in picks on polls?

I LOVE Merida, so I'm not "hating" or trying to start anything. I'm honestly just wondering because I thought we agreed to add her in after her official coronation. We've all heard the rumors of her becoming an official Disney Princess, but is anything directly from Disney? I just think it's odd because Rapunzel wasn't added in until she was official, I'm just wondering why Merida is being included right now.

Because that's their decision. They think Merida will be a DP, so they'll add her. Simple as that. Plus, she's pretty popular so she'll get lots of fans that'll put her in polls.

Yeah this is pretty accurate. It's up to the person who creates the polls. It's no different than including Meg or Esmeralda in a poll.

Yeah, and that's why she isn't included here on the banner, list and images, but because polls will gone after some days, she is put in them right now.

If they took Ticker Bell out of the Line up they could take Merida out too.

Yeah, but there's no official proof. We could be in court now and in your suitcase you'll have the text of an unofficial website claiming that Merida will have a coronation, and a picture of Merida having a D.P. styled design. If you put that in as your proof, then the judge will end the matter, seeing that there is NO PROOF. Lilo has lots of fans. Kida has more fans. But GISELLE HAS LOTS OF FANS. Well, she sings, she's pretty, Disney, has a soundtrack, and she's got a semi-prince and a happily ever after. But is she a princess? NO...

Practically, since Disney bought Pixar in 2007-2008, and the fact that Brave was a commercial and critical success, hey thought "why not" and added her. And they are trying to add more feminist princesses to the franchise
