Disney Princess Question

If Mérida joins the Disney Princess line up, who do you think will be the Disney Prince?

a Disney Princess and a Disney Prince from a certain princess movie aren't always a couple like Pocahontas and John Smith right? I mean which will suit more to be a Disney Prince from Brave? Wee Dingwall, Young MacGuffin or Young Macintosh?

I mean, If She joined and there are no Prince, people will think that Kristoff, the love interest of the upcoming Disney Princess Anna, will be though as Merida's prince, since he's the 11th and is the same order as Merida

I don't think she needs a prince, she's too young and she's already a princess by birth right.

thats one reason she shouldnt. Another is she has no official song, another no symbol, no color. The head of animation is stupid and ruining the Disney we all once knew and its pissing me off.

@tokiiiana -Yeah, but one of the characters from the MOVIE was singing it. And it kinda became a hit.

I 6th this notion. She is Pixar and does not belong in the franchise. People keep Disney and Pixar separate for a reason.

I agree. I don't think it's necessary for all the princesses to have a prince.

but Anna's going to join the line and turn her love interest into Disney Prince and people who is not familiar with the line will think that Kristoff is Merida's prince

If Disney doesn't do what I'm expecting them to do, and they pair her up it'll be MacGuffin. In concepts she was going to end up with him, but Pixar didn't pair her up in the end because they felt it would kill the message.

I kind of had a feeling she liked him. It's shown in the movie in a subtle way. She looks in awe when she first sees him and she giggles when he talks.

I did too but I sincerely believe she wasn't ready for long term or serious relationship at that point therefore it's a fitting creative decision for her to remain single. Something that I wanted for Pocahontas but never got.

Me too, I like her but not as a DP.

I'm not a fan of the film or her but it would be cute to have her brothers be her princes and wouldn't 'kill' the message of the film :)

Well, the closest to princes she's had were the 3 suitors who she didn't end up with any of them but stand as friends.

I agree. Just because she dose not follow all of the classic princess "rules" dose not mean she should be excluded.

why? and yes she should be excluded. Have her be a part of the Disney Heroines, but she doesnt need to be an official Princess. She doesnt have half the things that all ten do. And the " RULES" have been around since the Princesses started with Snow white in 1937, no use changing them now.

Where are these "Rules"? and why what? I like her a lot more then some of the Princesses and think she brings a lot more postive things to the table then Ariel and Jasmine...My top favorites would change to Merida,Rapunze,Mulan, and Tiana....

@Annie1210 -That's not valid. Just because Merida doesn't have a prince doesn't mean it's going to be Kristoff. Then who will Anna have? In my mind, it's best if Kristoff stays with Anna. And i'd think it's best if Young MacGuffin would ever be declared a couple. That is what they planned after all.

I think it would be great for Merida to join the princess line-up because she is a princess after all. Though she isn't Disney princess, she is still a Disney-pixar princess. and Disney pixar is owned by disney. And who needs a prince when you can be an independent princess?
