Disney Princess Question

Cinderella Curiousity

Why didn't they show the eye-pecking scene just like in the original "Cinderella"? This was something I was curious about when I first read Cinderella.

I don't think Disney would show something like that, considering the fact that most of their movies are for FAMILIES.

The eye-picking scene is only in the Grimm version - the Disney movie is based on Perrault's version, and in this one, Cinderella forgives her stepsisters.

First of all, Disney targets their movies to a wider audience. Secondly, Disney used Perrault's version. Three, since Cinderella sprawled into sequels, Anastasia became nicer to Cinderella. Hence, ripping out their eyes would mean that they are blind forever.
