Mrs. Hawkins and Jim finish washing dishes and store them in a cabinet. Ariel is still trying to make some soup which is apparently freaking her out since she had just seen an eye inside of the pot. The red-head screams as she drops the ladle she's holding. Jim and his mother quickly turn their heads towards her and raise their eyebrows in confusion. "What's the problem?" Jim asks as he bends down to pick up the dirty ladle. Ariel just stutters as she attempts to say the word eye and keeps pointing at the pot. Jim rolls his eyes. "Don't worry. That's our special for the day." At first, Ariel is relieved, but then she is disgusted. You people serve THIS?! The secret mermaid thinks to herself. But she just lets it off of her mind. Jim Hawkins heads out the door with a steaming hot bowl of soup. "Ariel," Mrs. Hawkins starts as she puts her hands on her hips. "Could you be a dear and go serve these?" She hands Ariel three plates topped with something that looks like a chicken leg and worms on the side. "Of course." Ariel says happily as she takes the dishes out the door to the diner.

Suddenly, there is crash outside the door and Mrs. Hawkins sees Jim and Ariel splattered with a variety of appetizers. She first grabs Ariel's left arm and helps her up on her feet. Jim just gets up on his own. "Oh dear. We need to get you cleaned up! Go outside. There's a well out there so you can clean yourself up." Jim's mother informs her clearly. Ariel walks out of the diner as Jim watches. She quickly finds the stone well next to an apple tree. "I can't believe I got this stuff on me." she says as she brushes of the disgusting food of of the skirt of her blue dress. "Hey," A deep male voice says from the distance. Ariel looks back and sees Jim leaning on the entrance door. "You need help?" he asks. The red headed maiden just shakes her head. "I think I handle it." Jim walks towards Ariel and takes her hand. With the hand he isn't using, he takes a handful of water and turns Ariel's hand to her palm. Jim drops the water into her palm and he lets go of her hand. Ariel blushes. "Thank you Jim." She finishes cleaning up but there are still some minor stains on her dress. "No problem." Jim says. Ariel can just feel the smile in his voice.
