Does anyone remember which Movie title that contained the following character and scene: Hooper is a middle aged, small time operator in L.A. He slicks his hair back and wears a sport jacket to upscale his image. He's dating a blonde waitress that is getting frustrated, because he's stringing her along and won't commit. One evening when he picks her up for a date, she has hit critical mass and unloads on him about all his faults and failures. this diatribe is quite lengthy. When she's finished he gives his classic response: "does this mean we won't be going out tonight?" To which she responds, "no, let's go" or something to that effect. They then go out to a retro dinner/dance club that hails back to the swing era with a big band and floor show featuring a mixed quartet singing tight harmony pop pieces of the era. I think the name of the club was some like "The Paradise" or something similar. I'm assuming the club was fictitious. Does that ring any bells for any of you fans?
