My sister and I used to do the same thing! Sometimes we'd add glitter.

One that stands out to me is that my sister and I had this flower faeries book and we'd go out into the garden and search for them around the lilac bushes. My grandma then moved away and we were sad at first but when we saw her new house we were thrilled; it was out in the woods and there were these bugs called 'woolly alder aphids' that looked like faeries and we were absolutely convinced that we found the flower faeries.

I also remember playing 'Magic Tree House' where we would lay books all over the floor, spin around, and pretend like we were in them. And of course the Harry Potter roleplay.

When I was little I used to take two kitchen chairs, put them in front of room's door, attach some old sheets or just big pieces of fabric to them, making an improvised teather stage with curtains. Then I put another few chairs in front of my "stage", put my grandma and a few soft toys on them (they were my audience) then I would take my special doll teather dolls, dress up in a stange DIY outfit, using different clothes from my mum's wardrobe, that were too big for me, different pieces of fabric, and... The show began. I played little teather plays (stories completely improvised by me) using my dolls as actors, imagined myself being an actress, I also did concerts, danced to my stage and sung. My grandma loved watching my plays, concerts and shows... That was a beautiful time... ❤️

My mom had a huge movie library that she worked hard to make. (we used to have videos and DVDs') (I'm showing my age! *lol!*)
Movies and T.V shows of all kinds! Better than any theater! And we always watched movies and just talked. Talked about life, school, people, memories, whoever was in the film and how much we hated or loved the character (sometimes we talked right through the film *lol!*)
It wasn't as magical or elaborate or even exciting as a lot of childhood memories. It is simple but it was ours and it's now mine. And it was better than anything in the universe! 💕

Aww, that's so lovely, me and my mum do the same, we have loads of DVDs and downloaded movies, however I mostly watch movies alone, we watch some together, recommend movies to each other, talk about movies and actors 💖
