Doesn't mean he's the best. Tom Baker has been voted as the best in "Doctor Who Magazine" more times than anyone. He is also the most parodied doctor on Tv shows. Ever see "Family Guy" or "The Simpsons"?

How does his physical appearance equate to him being the best overall? You sound like a very naive, clueless young girl. Tom Baker is the best.

The Doctor is NOT Human though. He's an alien and should react differently than a Human would. Tom Baker was the best at being the most alien like which is one of the many reasons as to why he is considered to be the best by smart fans.

Yeah, he was good but there were other actors who were indeed better in the role of the Doctor. This is fact..if you know about the classic series that is.

Yes, I very much know what you mean. When I wrote this, I was not implying that he was the only good actor. In fact, every actors for the Doctor, that I have seen, are amazing and all cast very well, I can not say if one is better than another, because in my opinion they all bring something new to the show and yet they are the same man.

I truly adore him as the Doctor. I have not watched any of the classic series, but he's definitely my favorite out of all that I have seen. This may seem shallow of me, but would you rather watch a show with an attractive main character than an ugly one? Truly, his attractiveness adds to his appeal, for he could not pull off some of the things he does without his looks. As quoted by Anne Robinson, "Was it your idea to be sexy in the show?" David Tennant looks gorgeous, much to my chagrin, but that certainly adds to his sex appeal and the ratings of the show. Other than that, I loved his acting skills and the vulnerability he brought, as well as the "dark" side he brought to the character. Now, I'm not forcing my opinions on anyone, but I believe that he was a great Doctor and extremely well cast. For that, he deserves a round of applause.

My opinion is that Tennant was the best doctor because he made me laugh and cry and he just had this HOOK to him that just drew me in and kept me there. I can't say why, but that's why I like him. Oh, and his acting skills are fantastic! Tennant really pulled off the Doctor in a way that made me smile.
