Because the universes are canonically shown to be connected so...yeah!
Aperture is powered largely by a thing called the "Aperture Laboratory's Stability Stabilizing Energy Reactor" or the "ALSSER"

Here is a list of all of the cores and such within the facility. This also includes OCs and cores shown in "Meet the Cores" and "The Underground"
All OCs will have a * by their names.

~~~Personality Cores (working)~~~

GLaDOS- (Genetic Lifeform and Disk Operating System) Runs the facility and is the most powerful of all the cores. While not a core in the classic sense she is refereed to as one and is considered the central core. She also housed Caroline's mind and conscious, although it has likely sense been deleted.

Rusty- Goes into the deadly pools of goo and cleans them up, removing dead test subjects as well as making sure test panels remain functional.

*Septic Core- Probable prototype of Rusty. However, because he ran on electricity and thus couldn't go into the acid goo Rosa modified him so his "tail" where his cord was is now a power pack that also works as a type of fin (as previously he was remote controlled) Now he lives in the giant ocean testing part of the facility.

ST4NL3Y- His job is to pull leavers up and down the wall...most would find this boring but it's what he was programmed for. Has an arm he uses to pull leavers

Narrator Core: Is relatively good at setting up tests, however he relishes in narrating everything the test subject does. He was used on especially antsy test subjects who constantly needed to hear someone's voice...

Drill Sargent Core- Trains the turrets before they get tested to be judged as functioning or defective

Motel Supervisor Core- After Wheatley was sent to space he was put in charge of cleaning up all the rooms of where there were previously humans in cryosleep

OmniSpere- While no longer in use, this giant core was the very 1st core and still functional. He lives very deep within the old testing facility.

Music Core- Created to sing songs...that's it...

Metal Core- Created to make and test specifically metal songs. Again that's...that's it...

Chuck- created to create and enforce rules of the facility. Is equipped with a taser.

Virgil- Maintenance core, used for both fixing chambers and robots and cores.

Virtual Reality Assistance and Education Core: Created to test various VR possibilities and teach those whom enter the VR experience how exactly it works.

Morality Core- Mute and controls all moral choices in the facility

Cake Core- Holds many different recipes for many different cakes

Avery- Mans the unmanned gift shop. Is quite a good salesman, and very convincing.

Loose-Screws Louise- He's a jazz singer core that works at the "enCORE Night Club" deep within the facility

Gaming Core- Develops video games to sell online. Provides a small source of income for the labs while also proving that even in shit times people will loaf around whenever possible.

Rose- Studies the plant life within the facility. Apparently she was the head of the department before the facility went down. She vaguely remembers someone else having helped before that was actually good but then she vanished. She also does a little dabbling in Bio-engineering.

Construction Core- Runs all of the construction within the facility as it slowly rebuilds itself. Also has set aside an area for something he calls the "Aperture Bridge Building Initiative"

Dr. Alma- The head of Research and Development. She maintains all of the past research and leads all new research as well. She's also a bit eccentric

Fergus- Heads up the department for gel development

*Lunar Sphere- The only sphere stationed in space on purpose. She heads lunar studies and is also responsible for continuing to send back moon rocks for white gel. She's also responsible for making that more efficient by figuring out not only how to recycle and re-use the old gels but also what the minimum concentration of moon dust is for white gel before it fails so that less has to be used.

Legal Core- Runs the legal department dealing with all possible lawsuits. A.K.A removing all past lawsuits from existence. He also is in charge of naming all of the Aperture Science's Patented Devices. That used to be his only job, but then they decided to give him another.

Nigel- Head the Paint Gun Testing Initiative


~~~Personality Cores (Borderline Defective)~~~

Ego Core- Thinks he's the best core possible

Ego Twin- Perfect duplicate of Ego Core

*NeCore- Also known as neko core or cat core, she believes he is a cat. However she still manages to be somewhat useful and thus hasn't been stamped as defective yet. She also seems to have a strange connection to Wheatley

Adventure Core- Seeks adventure and thrill, thus is often is the overgrown part of the facility.

RAY- AKA Ocean Core. Maintains the old ocean aquarium that was once going to be underwater themed tests. He, along with Septic Core, keep track of it. Although he can't go in side, so he monitors from the outside. He's kind of obsessed with the ocean and is best friends with Space Core.

Fact Core- Knows all facts...or thinks he does anyways. Some of his facts aren't exactly true and all of them are exaggerated.

Rick/Adventure Core- believes that everything is an adventure and enjoys overlaying much of what he does with intense music.

OxyCore- Someone decided it would be a good idea to create a core that required oxygen...his main function was to test oxygen levels within the chambers, however.

Rainbow Core- mostly made to see how many colors could be used on 1 eye.

Curiosity Core- It has a tendency to constantly ask questions...a lot of them...all the time...

Anger/Emotion Core- Always shows very extreme emotions at all times and is know for instant mood swings.

Quest Core- Deep under the facility, within the old salt mines, lives a giant core with the eye of a reptile. He believes that he is the master of this dungeon, and he will hand out random quests to whomever passes by. Apparently this is where Gaming Core gets several of his base ideas.


~~~Personality Cores (Defective)~~~

Space Core- Obsessed with space...is also in space...

Wheatley- Stupidity core, was made by scientists to sound exceedingly smart while actually having the stupidest possible ideas...also in space...managed to hack a satellite to send audio and video feed back though...

Glitchy- Not even he knows his original purpose, but it's possible he was made to test the effects of various bugs on Personality Spheres...of course, now that all the scientists are gone there's no one to remove them...

Turret Core- someone accidentally put the personality of a turret into a core...Rosa felt bad for it and gave it guns it can use now.

RED- A core living in android hell/the incinerator. No one knows what his purpose was built for other then to test fireproofing and see if heat could power a core...it seems it's worked a little to well...because he's been down there so long without even getting a scratch and has gotten rather buggy because anyone else that gets sent down there melts very quickly...

Humor Core- knows only one joke..."what do you get when you cross an Aperture Science Personality Sphere with a Macintosh? An Apple Core~!" He's super excited all the time.

Interview Core- he does...exactly what his name implies...and can change voices depending on the situation...

Paranoia Core- exceedingly paranoid all the time...

Protocol Sphere- Knows every rule and regulation about the facility. Was deemed annoying and thus defective. Thinks he is perfect as well.

Elite Core- Thinks he's the very best and the most Elite. Is somehow more egotistical then Ego Core.

Ambition Core- Aims very high in everything and thinks everyone else is shit. He thinks he's awesome

Friendship Cores- 2 cores accidentally squished together. Blue is always happy and coming up with stupid ideas and Yellow is always angry and Blue and his stupid ideas. They were designed to simulate trust between humans or something like that.

~~~Robots~~~

Atlas and Peabody- testing robots made to be able to solve tests and learn the same way humans do

Lava Manager- Manages the copious amounts of lava within the giant caves of the old salt mines

*RoBunny- robot bunny built by Rosa. Has portal guns built into her

*Spriz- hovering robot built by Rosa

AEGIS- Aperture Employee Guardian and Intrusion System, a prototype security system which had been shut down for years until GLaDIOS could fix the..."bugs"...in it

The Mainframe- Decides which defective cores get destroyed and which ones get to live and continue being stupid

Party Escort Bot- place the device on the ground, then lie on your stomach with your arms at your sides. This is the "party escort submission position", it is presumed that the Party Escort Bot is required to travel to the surface in order to retrieve people and "escort them to the party". She is a core-based android with a pink eye.

Turrets come in many colors. They can also be defective and there's also old turrets from the old facility still around sometimes. There's also Rocket Turrets and the Cube Turrets Wheatley made as well as hover turrets, which are a new invention by R&D

Sentient Cleaning Servos also cover the facility, making sure everything stays clean in the fully re-constructed parts of the facility

~~~Humans~~~

*Rosa- Past test subject found sleeping and somehow alive still. Now helps run the facility carefully so as to not cause problems. Also acts as a test subject occasionally.

*Gracie- Brought in as part of the Aperture TAG initiative and was put into stasis back when only the old labs existed. Was only recently found buried within the old labs

*Alyson Freeman- 1 of the top scientists at Black Mesa and Gordon's sister, she's been trying to figure out how to stop...uh....whatever the hell is happening.

Mel- Former Aperture test subject made to go through the old facility in the time between Gladios going down and her being woken up again

Chell- Former test subject that took down Gladios the 1st time, accidentally revived her, took her down again, took down Wheatley when he took over, and re-installed Gladios. No one really knows where she is now. Apparently she can speak but chooses not to just to spite the robots within the facility.

Gordon Freeman- A top scientist from Black mesa, he's the strong silent type. He's been a mute all of his life

Lab Rat- Previous scientist of Aperture who has since gone insane. He caries around what appears to be a sentient companion cube that he claims speaks to him. It is unknown if he has ever left the facilities.

Unnamed TAG subject also exists somewhere in the world after being released from the facility.
