Lovely cover!
Lovely cover!
Hello everyone, I will writing a review on Dan Brown's latest novel to which I managed to finish reading it a couple of weeks ago.

The Story

Once again, the story fascinates me starring Robert Langdon on his new adventure. This time, the theme deals with religion and science, but most importantly Atheism. An interesting topic indeed!
It was also sad that Langdon's first student and friend, Edmond Kirsch was silenced by being killed due to his outspoken atheist beliefs. It was later discovered that his assassin, is actually a tragic character name Admiral Luis Avila. To which I will write more about him later on!
The ending also leaves me a very disturbing revelation, why would Edmond's computer assistant, Winston (named after British Prime Minister, Winston Churchill) to orchestrate Edmond Kirsch's assassination for? Until he confides his motives to Robert prior to Winston's self-deletion.

The Characters

As mentioned, I was happy that Robert Langdon came back to solve another mystery, he is join by a young Spaniard woman name Ambra Vidal, who is Spain's Crown Prince Julian's fiance.
Speaking of Ambra Vidal, she is no Damsel in Distress, she's very much like her predecessors, especially Victoria from Angels and Demons. Mainly because they both headstrong!
The reason why I mentioned that Admiral Luis Avila is more of a tragic antagonist in the novel, is because his family were killed by fanatics of the controversial Palmarian Catholic Church. Sadly he met his downfall while fighting with Professor Langdon.

The Setting

While the majority of the story is set in Barcelona, Spain. It also has some moments in both Abu Dhabi and Budapest. The capital cities of United Arab Emirates and Hungary respectively, these 3 cities that I have been, it is only Abu Dhabi was a plane stop by.

Conclusion

So, here is my review on the latest novel, it is actually my other favourite novel to read because I could not put down the novel, like The Da Vinci Code and I hope that it will be make into a movie in the near future!
