oh my god, bless you for open up this forum, I'm starting to losing my patient with chair fans, I really tried to be polite, but it's getting harder and harder, I used to love chuck because he bring out the drama di GG, but when I see how chair fan make him a hero in romance I just can't stand him anymore, ok some topic that make me want to start banging my head at the table like miss piggy in the muppets:

Let's not let the chairnatics bring us down, the only people they are offending and hurting are their-selves because they are in denial, in which makes me feel actually quite sorry for them, they obviously don't understand true love and true feelings because their so wrapped up in the idea of chair. I just stay away from general TV spots. (Apart from Downton Abbey, which I have joined, but rarely visit). I never go on TVD's fanspot even though I am a big fan of the show. It's the Chair fans that need to face reality. I read an amazing article that showed how the ratings have been on a steady decrease ever since S2, and that S5 is the first time the ratings have stayed relatively the same throughout the season in the past 3 seasons.

The blame for bad ratings is multiple offenses:

-People tuned in for S1 because of all the hype the CW gave it, but then they either just lost interest or just forgot about it.
-Even after 'cliffhanger ending' type episodes in S2 and S3, in cases where the ratings were expected to increase in the next new episode, they STILL LOST VIEWERS.
-The CW is infamous for not properly advertising it's shows and not getting them the proper exposure they need. Look at shows like One Tree Hill - {though it's current final season brought it to a total of 9 seasons} OTH was ALWAYS one of the "on the verge of being cancelled" series when it came time for renewals FOR THE FIRST 4 SEASONS. Then there's Supernatural - Supernatural has had it's fair share of struggles due to lack of proper exposure. It has managed to fare well in large part due to the ONLINE-FANBASE who constantly spread the word about it and urge people to tune in.
-Some of the LOWEST RATED episodes are episodes that HEAVILY feature Chuck/Blair either as a couple, or engaging in their tiring drama.

So if these delusional, bitter CB'ers want to keep blaming Dair for low ratings? They can spew it all they want, but the TRUTH is that the ratings have been on a steady decline and Dair has been the only thing to really grab new interest. Many media outlets have PRAISED the show for Dair & there are lots of people on the show that constantly compliment the Dair aspect.
