Alright I'm going to put in my opinion please don't kill me I might be the only guy on here. But here it is goes:
I think that based on the season and how Stefan left and Damon has been there and wanting to help her find Stefan he has been the better guy. But Stefan is the one that literally all he has to do is mope puppy eyes and say sorry and he wins everytime. Elena loves both brothers but refuses to or in denial of her feelings for one brother.
