So, we're not getting any Damon/Elena, but there are some good aspects of 2x17. Jeremy/Damon bonding. I love their bonding scenes! Elena/Isobel/John scenes. Some family time. Not that I'm going to be watching the episode live (feeding them my view for nothing seems like a waste....) but I don't think it'll be THAT bad.

I miss them like crazy though! Hopefully we get some DE related spoilers before the ep for the rest of the season. Posted over a year ago

So, I'm quite certain that the only people that don't ship Delena are the people that don't understand Elena's character. I know that's kinda arrogant to say but if you look at the comments and read another shipping forum it's kind of obvious. SEers tend to view 'Elena' as 'Elena' when she's with Stefan. That's it. And that could not be more far from the truth, seeing as he holds her back in so many ways.

Why I love Delena:

Elena brings out the good in Damon that has always been there, but has just been hidden for so many years.
Some people Say Elena is changing Damon, but I think she is just bringing out who Damon really is and was before he became a vampire.
Elena can have fun and be herself when she is with Damon.
Damon sees Elena for who she really is. He loves Elena because she actually cares about him unlike Katherine.

I love that their relationship will be based on something real & honest because they first got to know each other and became friends, so there's a real build up.
I also love about DE that they bring out the best of each other and because it's quite certain that Damon loves ELENA because of how she is and not because she looks like Katherine.

I believe in them and I'm sure everyone else does as well.
I have faith that Damon & Elena will be the ending couple.. there is NO doubt that I have that they won't. I can't explain how much I believe in this couple and thier potential they have.
