AWESOME episode tonight. DE had their moments. DE and Alaric great combo. Klaus/Stefan okay scene.HILARIOUS Damon throwing Elena in the water. The end scene was GREAT. The writers will always write DE to have ups and down so just enjoy the ride people and don't worry so much about end game. The writers (mostly) write DE great. This episode was so good for our favourite couple! I loved that they spent much time out of town, it's fun having a change of scenery sometimes.

Was I the only who thought they were going to kiss when he held her face? I thought like Damon would lean in, kiss her softly on the lips (2 seconds top) and she responds a little bit.
My heart jumped so fast that I thought I was going to die. And Elena running to Damon when he comes to the car, asking him did he get bittting: truly perfection.

I started watching VD like three weeks ago and am in love I did not ship either D/E or S/E until the second season because well idk why Anyway, while i was watching the show I noticed that Stefan is not who he wants to be He pretends to be all nice and kind the truth be told, he is the more monster then Damon. Stefan can't control it because he was afraid, Sure Damon did got blood crazy but not like Stefan. This whole 'she wants peace, he's into destructive killing, it's just not meant to be' excuse could very well refer to SE as well. Stefan's a RIPPER, and if Elena can love him, there's no reason why she can't love Damon too. I just hope that this doesn't have a detrimental effect on viewing numbers. I think it could be a good thing if Damon pulls away from Elena. If he's available to her all the time, she'll just take him for granted. If she values their friendship, she won't let him go. It could be a wake-up call for her. And the 'predator/prey' statement didn't bother me: it reminded me of Edward and Bella in 'Twilight'! Ian's interview didn't directly say that they were never going to be together; he simply said that Damon is a troubled person, and will always do something that could possibly hurt Elena. He also said that they are exact opposites, and that them being friends is crazy. Delena will have something special; maybe not at this time, but Ian never said:"Delena will never happen,". So I think its high-time for all us Delena lovers to start ignoring the interviews, the quotes, the teasers, the everything promo having to do with the next episodes.
The writers are fucking with our heads, Ian is majorly backtracking his words about Delena (probably under pressure from the writers to cool it with the Delena love.) and they keep tossing back and forth different conflicting information.

Guys please don't feel so upset about Ian's comment. When it comes to the couples, the thing that really rakes in the viewers, 99% of the time the cast will be told what they can/cannot say. Damon and Elena possibilities are definitely on the DO NOT DISCUSS list. We've heard all what Ian has said before... nothing new!

Please don't give up! We're 1 episode into S3. We had it alot worse in S2 by this point... look how far we've come!

I know some of you maybe upset with Elena. I totally understand. Please take into account that Elena can be quite naive and it shows hos much Elena is in love with the idea of who she believes Stefan to be. It will take awhile before any of this sink in and everyone of her families died on her so she's still trying to hold onto Stefan. I find it interesting that they put Tyler to mention the most important cliffhanger of the previous season! "But you kissed him.." A relatively secondary character to say what we all wanted to hear in this episode makes it appear as if it's of lower importance..Howerver, I guess that they wanted to just cover it for now, in order to bring it to the fore later on! Why, when I look at stills from the S3 promotional video, I get a feeling that Klaus & Damon are portrayed as those villains who come between poor Stefan & Elena?

Stefan & Elena's heads are turned away from each other as if distracted but if you remove the distraction ( Klaus & Damon ) they'd be facing each other again ( they'd be back together? ):(
