for me it's yes and no. yes because i love their friendship and no because i also like the idea of her realizing she wants to be with him when they're not even good friends which would show just how much she likes him.

hmmm...I loved them as friends in season 1, but now it would be like "returning to the past" and many things changed...including the ILY scene *.* where damon realized his true feeling
