Let's face it, we all got the opposite of what we were expecting because of the way we chose to interpret the spoilers. At the end of the episode I was mad, but then I chose to go back over the DE scenes and found out I was reading them all wrong. Firstly, I was extremely mad when Elena told Bonnie, "I should be here with Stefan." Then I looked at it again and I realized exactly what Elena was saying. It wasn't that she WANTED to be there with Stefan like I first thought, it was that she WASN'T. Elena CHOOSE not to be there with Stefan, and when she and Damon started to get "steamy," it made...
