I dont want to be disrespectful, but I believe that Edward and Bella are the OPPOSITE of everything Damon/Elena. They're more like Stefan and Elena, all sugar sweet with no angst and being rushed and with the whole "soulmate" thing...
For me, Damon and Elena are much MORE than Soulmates. They have a connection that's stronger and bigger than that. They belong together and that's it for me :)
