Damon & Elena Question

A Bamon fan wants proof that LJ wanted DE as endgame and was fired for it, that she in fact said that was why she was. Help anyone?

On the TVD book site this fan is sick of DE fans saying this is true when LJ was in fact a Bamon fan.

Who cares? You shouldn't feel the need to prove something to these people. It doesn't matter at this point anyway. None of it is canon, and it's all poorly written fanfiction.

The emails she sent out to fans before she made it official can be found here in articles, and even a few ppl printscreened them on Twitter, but their prolly all lost by now.

traceypharm, I found a copy of LJ Smith's email here link
"You see, I’ve been fired from The Vampire Diaries—mainly because instead of giving my publishers the strict Stelana they demanded, I went ahead and
wrote what my heart told me to do. They wanted Elena to “realize that she was fond of or physically attracted to Damon, but that her one true love was Stefan.” But I didn’t see the series that way. And so Midnight is the last
Vampire Diaries book you’ll see by L. J. Smith."

She goes on to say: "Even though they are copyrighted to me, I still can’t write
them without Alloy’s permission. And they really hated any Delena content—as well as the many scenes I had given to Bonnie, which they wanted to cut. They demanded only Stelena... you can kiss any more truly meaningful Delena moments goodbye, because I’m afraid it just isn’t the view of Harper or Alloy."
She ends the email by saying that she's sorry that Delena readers will have no hope of anything other than a Stelena endgame.

I think she liked both Delena & Bamon (hardly ever mentioned the *soulmates* Stelena-book version=headache-lol).

But, from what I've read of all the books, it looks more apparent (IMO) that DE would've been more likely endgame. I don't know how anyone could get around: *There was no world for her if there was no Damon*, or *I loved...just once really in my WHOLE life. Can u remember that I loved u?* lines, compared to the small amount of Bamon scenes over the course of the whole series (tho I think they're cute-as friends tho). All a matter of opinion.

I don't think she was fired specifically cuz of DE endgame, since she didn't really decide an 100% endgame, plus she also said that they wanted to cut Bonnie scenes too. So, I see it as a small combination of things that led to her getting fired (tho I don't blame her for not wanting strictly Stelena in the books. They're so *eye rolling* worthy).

Im a Delena and Bamon fan, so I hope I'm still able to post here, but L.J. just recently sent me an email explaining that she had not chosen an endgame yet. She stated she was fired because she was making it so that her feelings for Damon and Stefan were equal but the publishers just wanted Damon to be more of a attraction. However L.J's heart wanted more for Delena, not endgame just more than an attraction. I posted the email below.Just ignore the last part of the second paragraph it's about Bamon.

Never read the books, but I like this E-mail. I like that she did not pick an End game yet. And I do like Bamon also, just Delena more. But at least L.J. Smith is being honest with her fans.

to be honest it doesn't matter what goes on in the books,LJ Smith was a good author as she believed in Damon when nobody else did so I'm glad she went with her oown thng I credit her for that!! but the tv series doesn't even follow them wich I am releived about! If so Elena would be a vampire by now exetra and Stefan would probably be endgame :(...
So the tv series has gone a completley different way and Delena have a better chance wih eachother I love season 3 lots of hott Delena scenes lol. Lets put it this way Delena shippers are better off without the books!!! eventhough there was some really good chemestry between them... <3
