Ive heard that Elena will say in the book ,Phantom´that Damon was JUSt an flirt for her! After the last 3 books i can't really belive this! I will not read Phantom and Elena and the ghostwriter would are botz bitches for me! :(((((
I'm not sure if this is true - it sounds ludicrous even for a ghost-written book. You can't follow a whole series of books which have steadily built a couple's relationship and have it grow into love, and then demolish it by claiming that it was merely a flirtation. Who would believe that? Any book fan who thinks rationally would think that the author was suffering from amnesia and/or a drugs trip. At any rate, it would be enough to make them seriously question the credibility of Elena's character - to have her spend the last 2 books angsting over her feelings for Damon while still being in love with Stefan, only to go: "Oops. I never really loved Damon. What was I thinking? I just enjoyed flirting with him. Silly me. Ah well, I'm older and wiser now." REALLY. Fans everywhere would throw their books down in disgust at how shallow and immature Elena was being. Even fans of SE would probably raise an eyebrow or two. If Elena can spend all that time apparently in love with Stefan and Damon, and then change her mind as quick as a wink and decide she never loved Damon, it was Stefan all along - do they honestly want Stefan to be with - maybe even marry - someone who is so incredibly indecisive, insensitive and fickle?
So no. I don't believe it but if it's true, then HarperTeen and Alloy might as well kiss the sales of any future books goodbye, because with absurd character progression and story telling like that, they will not be making any profits.
Spread the word (facebook, Twitter...others) that this is not her work, her name will still be on the cover though :(
For heaven's sake, she destroys a moon when Damon dies! Does that say, "just" a flirt to you? Or slashing her throat to try to feed him her blood? Ummm, sounds like a lover mourning her beloved, who'd rather die than be without him. To negate seven books worth of character development and epic love, you would have to start your own series, new characters.
BOYCOTT, and show those a..holes how much we love VD and Lj. What crap they produce is not VD.

i suppose when stefan realizes that elena truely luvs damon and says he wont stand in their way will turn out 2 be some kind of dream. is that how they will explain elena choosing damon in the last TRUE book to her saying it was just flirting. i guess this ghost writer saw the episode where damon was hallucinating and elena sais katherine was just toying with him and now they'er gonna make it be elena instead. how original . no really how pathetic
Doesn't surprise me. The ghostwriter's only job is to destroy DE and all their build-up throughout 7 books. If it's not written by LJ, it's nothing but fanfiction. I'm going to pretend this book and the rest of the Hunters series never existed.
But first, I'm gonna make sure no one I know buys this book. Yes, I'm that hardcore, excuse me.
There s more this site vampire diaries net is actually promotin the ripper diaries aka stefans diaries and some months ago they were promotin the phantom trilogy , also even though damon won number 1 in their poll not a word of appreciation from them but just critizism sayin tat he didnt deserve to win, overrated etc looks like the mods there r against damon and delena
Yeah phantom is not written by l j smith its written by a ghost writer thats why such horrible things are there. Its a fake book not real. The real books stopped with midnight showin elena s true love for damon
I cannot believe this, I knew it was comming but still, after all that has happened between them, the new writer makes it just a flirt. Never am I gonna read that book. She loves Damon everyone who read the books can tell and now they try to make it into a flirt. I so hope no one is gonna read the books, so the publishers think twice about fire her!!!
It pretty much makes me incredulous that all fans, even Bamon/Stelena, buy this book & accept the endgame of the books just cuz they have one up on DE fans. DB/SE may not be what the author wanted as endgame. Now, with it being forced/default, its gonna be a predictable, forced ending. I <3 the books, especially book Delena compared to TV Delena, & cannot believe the hypocrisy of them saying Damon & Elena never loved each other. It was just physical attraction. Its a bunch of bs & true TVD book fans should know that. FACT: Stefan & Elena r in love. FACT: Damon & Elena r in love. FACT: Damon & Bonnie care for each other. Now, its being called this crap of an ending. Sorry dont read anything thats a carbon copy & when I already know the ending *gets a headache*.
I am never going to buy this book, I hope the publishers understand soon what a huge mistake they are making or they could tell their sales goodbye for good. I thought that SE/BD fans wouldn't be happy because their "endgame" is forced but whatever because I know for sure that the true writer of TVD wanted DE endgame and for me only the books that l.j.smith wrote are the true TVD books
