In A Interview With Ian, He Was AskedWhat's been the scene in Season 2 that you think fans will flip over? Something particularly fun maybe? (Is The Awnser The One We Have Been Waiting For???)

What's been the scene in Season 2 that you think fans will flip over? Something particularly fun maybe?
Ian: There's a pretty racy scene with Elena and Damon. I wouldn't necessarily call it fun ... there hasn't been a lot of fun scenes to be honest with you. This isn't a very fun time for Damon. But in the face of adversity and chaos, Damon still has a really good time. But [the scene with Elena] is steamy and it's been waited for ... you get a really big, huge glimpse into Damon's vulnerability and what the power of attraction can do. That's all I'll say.

What could happen? It sounds intense, with Damon being vulnerable and all. They will kiss at least. But what about Nina saying that she didn't think Elena would kiss Damon while she was with Stefan? Some possible scenarios:

Elena and Stefan break up, leaving Elena free to kiss Damon.

OR...Damon dares Elena to kiss him to prove she doesn't feel anything for him

OR...The kiss happens in a highly charged, emotional moment, which neither of them are anticipating.

I'm pretty sure he was talking about the bedroom scene from the premier=( especially because he said that we saw Damon's vulnerability, it has been waited for and it wasn't fun. We have been waiting for the real DE kiss since the finale so in a way it was something that has been 'long waited for', Damon was an emotional mess and I think the most vulnerable we've seen him so far and the scene was far from fun.It's a bit dissapointing but sadly I think he was talking about the bedroom scene..

The only problem is that the scene in the premiere can't be described as 'steamy' or 'racy'...it was definitely hearbreaking and devastating, but steamy it was not. Why would Ian describe it as a sexy scene and get all us fans excited if it wasn't? I would probably expect that from the producers, but not from Ian. I'm sure there's another scene, so don't lose heart!

I'm willing to stay optimistic and believe that it could be a future scene as well...the scene in 2x01 just wasn't steamy imo. :)

Maybe during the road trip =). I do want to keep my hopes up but who knows with the writers and the twists, we'll probably get our EPIC kiss when we least expect it.
