I’ve read good deal of activity on various boards about how Elena Gilbert is ‘perfect’ for Damon Salvatore. I think it may be time for some hard truths.

Elena does not appeal to Damon’s better angels, as much as she would like to believe. She is able to manipulate him (consciously or unconsciously-the jury’s still out for me) using the currency of her face, which is a carbon-copy of the woman he ‘loved’ for 145 years.

Elena has let him get away with too much. And you KNOW that you can’t respect someone who you can walk all over. It’s obvious he has no respect for you. Case(s)...
