Hi Patty--

Are you Bamonites united? I have so many messages . . .

Yes! Yes, Damon and Bonnie will have a very exciting roller coaster
relationship in Midnight! They will quarrel and make up and Bonnie will
forgive, and Damon will do unprecidented things for his little redbird.
I don't think The Vampire Diaries will ever be quite the same after
Midnight.

But there are still three more books (at least) in this series, and
even I don't know how it will all end up. You know, if you really want
delicious Bamon moments, you could always send suggestions of thinngs
that Bonnie and Damon might do together. What you would like to see.

Anyway, yes, I promise you deliciousness. And I thank you for writing.
Maybe I can get your question up on the Ask L.J. bit of the website,
and then all who love Bonnie and Damon will know.

after reading your email, I feel like sending for a priest and getting those two married right away: Bonnie and Damon, You certainly make a compelling case, and I think you will enjoy Midnight, in which Bonnie and Damon travel alone together to the Dark Dimension, and how Damon, to his later horror, loses track of Bonnie until she is in the middle of being sold as a slave.

And the plot goes on from there . . .
I myself think Bonnie might be good for Damon, because 1) she is a strong psychic, 2) she already knows the ropes of human/vampire relationships from watching Elena, and 3) she seems to bring out, even more than Elena, a gentleness in Damon that makes him want to protect her, no matter what she's done. You're right; she makes him more human.

she answered us twice :

Elena and Damon and Bonnie and Stefan have already been
the same ages for about twenty years, when the original books were
written (or only gotten about nine months older). The ones going to
college are going to stay freshmen for a long. long time. And in this time, Damon definitely likes Bonnie. She's his weak spot. He chases Elena because he set himself a goal when he first saw her, but he actually saved Bonnie's life (and kissed her) before the Vampire Diaries story started. I'll be putting the story up on my website soon if you haven't seen it. And in the books to come, there's a lot of Damon and
Bonnie moments, when he tries to be cruel to her but finds that somethig
inside him just won't let him do it. Somewhere inside he has a lot of
tenderness for her. I give Bonnie as good a chance as Elena to end up
with Damon because what about Stefan?

In any case, they'll all get closer and closer in the upcoming books.
Bonnie has a unique and important part in Midnight, in which she and
Damon end up alone together in the Dark Dimension. He starts out not
treating her very well, but ends up as sorry as he can be! And, too . .
. but I can't tell you the whole story!

And finally, I promise that Bonnie will end up with a guy who is
perfect for her, whether it be Damon or someone else that is absolutely
fabulous and loves her passionately. After all, I love Bonnie's
character as much as Elena's and they both deserve the best.

She hasnt answered me in my mail (it was in the Bonnie's comp.) but all the answers she gave us are wonderful news :D :D :D

we didn´t share her answer before, because my friend and i were afraid if someone that hate Bonnie and Damon read her answer will complain to Lj Smith, but with the time we see that no matter LJ smith answers or all that we do or we dont do, always exist people who will complain about Bonnie and Damon, we cant change that! but we cant lose hopes :)

Yes, Bonnie and Damon do have some very close moments together in
Midnight. Damon doesn't treat her very well several times, but he
repents so deeply for being uncaring that he , , , well, that would be
telling. But Bonnie learns that he cares for her, although it's just
like Damon to be brusque at first.

Another email...I asked if Bonnie & Damon would remember the time the shared in After Hours. This is what she put(Once again Short Stuff is my nickname):

Hey Short Stuff—

Do I detect a little empathy for the petite Bonnie?

Yes, I think that perhaps someday Bonnie may remember . . . or simply be told the story by Damon. I can easily imagine him saying “I saved your life before you even met me,” after drinking about six glasses of Black Magic.

But please, do not construe this as meaning that Damon and Bonnie will someday get together. I have no idea who will get together with whom. Endgame is a long way away.
