With my claws tearing the ground, i ran away from the camp. The same thoughts screeched through my head. "Am i really a freak?! Not even a clan member!?" Feeling something wet at my eyes, i continued through the forest. I didn't even know where i was going; all i wanted to do is get away to a quiet place. Yelping, i stopped just in time to stand beside a river. Water roared in my ears, making me whimper. Clear blue water lapped my paws. The sun's rays shined down on my black fur. Gulping, i gazed down into the water. I saw a small black kitten with purple eyes. "Me." i thought quietly, blinking at the reflection. "You're freak!" the golden tom's voice ripped in my head. "No i can't be!" i wailed, swiping at the water. Droplets flew in the air, destroying the cat in the water. Slowly, the water regained it's calm lapping. I trembled as i looked back in the water. I gasped in alarm; a full-grown cat gazed at me from the water. Sleek and glossy black fur rippled gently. Deep gleaming purple eyes met my own, causing a shiver to pass through my body. "Who is that, it couldn't be me." i whispered, blinking again. "It is you, young kit." mewed a sweet voice, sounding like the wind. Spinning around, i came face to face with the cat in the water. She raised her head and closed her eyes as the wind blew. "W-who are you?" i squeaked, crouching in fear. "Peace young one, i am a friend." she murmured, opening her eyes. I stepped forward, my eyes now curious. "My name is Nightwind, i am the former deputy of this clan." she explained with an amused look. "I died from one of my sons, but that's not important." Gulping, i sat down and tried to look serious. "Why did you come then?" i whispered. A dark gray tom with green eyes came into view, stopping beside Nightwind. She purred a greeting to him before facing me. "You are not a freak, you are not a burden to your clan. In fact, you and your brother have a destiny that will keep your clan safe." Nightwind said, twining her tail with the tom. "How!?" i gasped, wishing Rainingkit were with me right now. "Smokebreeze and i live with you, dear kit. You and your brother." she mewed. "You must gain your apprentice name, then your warrior name." I felt another shiver go through me. "The clan is slowly tearing apart with traitors and sweet cats that have been guided down the wrong path." Smokebreeze mewed quietly. "They must be brought back to the right path and shown what loyalty is again." "wait!" i yelped. "What do you mean, what's gonna happen to the clan?" Shaking her head, Nightwind flicked her tail for silence. "Night's wind and Smoke's breeze has not stop blowing. When Storm's bringing peace fails to work, it's up to Morning's ray and Rain's gentle droplets to bring peace and harmony to the Crystal Waterfall"
