I think we could all agree that there are hundreds of different features which contribute to the unique nature of this T.V drama, including music, characters, quotes, themes and acting.

For me, the music is one of the most amazing parts...its so lilting and beautiful, and perfectly fits which ever scene its played in.
And one of my favourite quotes is when Mary tells Sophy 'Men don't want you to talk Sophy. They only require that you listen.'
Lastly, the interactions between the characters living in Cranford, especially the Amazons, is what the show is founded on and intrical to the overall tone and atmosphere.
