“And I’m not sure if she does or not.” Wally finished telling Alyssa something. Alyssa rubbed her chin.
“And you haven’t told her yet?” Alyssa asked. Wally shook his head. Alyssa smiled. “Then tell her.”
“NO! I just don’t like being a were-wolf.” Wally said.
“Well, who is the closest person to you?” Alyssa asked. Wally thought for a minute.
“Probably my cousin, Kacey.” Wally said.
“Then tell her.” Alyssa said.
“Why?” Wally asked. Alyssa touched his face with her hand.
“It’ll help a lot.” Alyssa said. Wally turned his head away.
“But what if she-?” When Wally turned his head back the other way, Alyssa was gone. Wally shoved his hands in his pockets. Then, he trudged off. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Wally decided to tell Kacey at 3:00 in the morning. He quietly tip-toed down the hall. When he reached Kacey’s room, there was a small light underneath the blanket.
“Kacey, are you awake?” Wally asked.
“Yup.” Kacey said. “Go back to bed.”
“I have to show you something.” Wally said.
“And that might be?”
Wally gulped.
“Well, the night after I got the wolf bite, I felt different.”
“How?”
“I definitely looked different.”
Kacey turned over. “How different?”
Wally took a deep breath and stepped forward. The light from the moon coming out of Kacey’s window shone on him. Kacey lifted the blanket and gasped.
“C’mon, Bub, you can sleep next to me.” Kacey said. Wally walked toward the bed. As he got in, Kacey jumped.
“Sorry, I’ve got claws now.” Wally said. Kacey muttered “No kidding.” under her breath and turned off the laptop. He took off her glasses and set them on the nightstand. Wally’s fur was warm, so she fell asleep in 20 minutes. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The following morning, Kuki was setting up the decorations. They were pink, purple, and blue. When Kacey got down stairs, covered in fur, she facepalmed. When Abby spotted Kacey, she got a confused look on her face.
“Did you and Toby have a wrestling match last night?” She asked. Kacey shook her head.
“My bed must have been covered in it.” Kacey lied. She didn’t want to, she had too. Then there was a knock at the front door. Kacey answered. It was two salesmen.
“Hi, are you interested in buying some gourmet tofu?” The first one asked. The second one held out some tofu that looked like something Teddy (an orange cat who belongs to Sector V) would cough up. Kacey took one whiff of the air and gagged.
“Moo.” She said. Then, shut the door.
Soon, Wally came downstairs. He had some leftover fur as well. Now, Abby was suspicious.
“OK, someone is lying here.” Abby said. Wally punched Kacey in the arm.
“I didn’t say anything!” Kacey said. He punched Wally back.
“Well, you obviously did!” Wally said.
“SHUT UP!” Abby yelled. She eyed Kacey.
“Wally sent Kiki to the moon.” Kacey said. Wally facepalmed.
“Abby, do you really wanna know?” Wally asked. Abby nodded.
“Meet me in my room at sunset.” Wally answered. Abby shrugged but was fine with it.

Finally, one month had passed and it was 4 hours until the dance. Wally was worried. He hadn’t gotten dressed, taken a shower, or gotten a date! Then, he remembered the school dance. He rushed to Kuki’s room and banged on the wall next to the curtain.
“Kuki!” Wally yelled. Kuki pushed aside the curtain.
“Yes?” She asked.
“Um, do you have a date yet?” Wally asked. Kuki shook her head “no”. “Well, would you consider going with me?” Kuki smiled big.
“Sure, Silly!” Kuki said. “Just let me put on my dress.” Wally nodded as Kuki left. He ran down the hall and did a loud “YES!” He almost tripped over Leo (a black cat who roams around the treehouse) and Leo hissed. Wally just continued running around the tree house.
