T-RIO'S BIOGRAPHY:
At first glance, the arrestingly beautiful and exotic sisters, Thaisa, Thayana, and Thaina Sco, capture the magnetic interest of heart-pounding fans worldwide. However, this trio is so much more than a sumptuous new version of sultry. The Sco triplets are a literal and figurative triple threat; a mighty force within the international entertainment industry. These sisters sing, dance, act and speak four languages to boot: Portuguese, English, French, and a touch of Spanish. From a young age, the precocious girls inherently knew they were destined to ignite the world as entertainers. They soon discovered that entertainment would play a dominant and extremely fulfilling role in their lives.
Their parents were passionate lovers of music who always played and created music in their home. The sister's younger years were profoundly influenced by their father who frequently played the guitar and sang tunes with their mother. In addition, their mother earned a creative degree in the Scenic Arts.
The musical family loved to sing songs from artists like Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder, Mariah Carey, The Beatles, George Michael, Tony Braxton, Djavan, Caetano Veloso, Tom Jobim, and Joao Gilberto, etc. These artists made a lasting impression upon the hearts of the Sco sisters.
At the tender age of three, the girls began their formal training by enrolling in a dance school. Shortly after, the triplets began performing in front of large crowds. At the age of six, they launched their modeling career and from then on, fashion became a powerful influence on their lives. At age seven, the diligent sisters further honed their craft by enrolling in an acting school. This commitment led to the girls' frequent performance in various plays.
At age twelve, the girls penned their very first song; becoming official songwriters of some of their own music.
Their fourteenth year marked a major turning point for the girls. They started their careers as professional performers within their birth city, Brasilia, Brazil. Several renowned Brazilian entertainment companies nourished their budding careers by hiring the sisters to perform in theatrical productions and contemporary dance shows.
At the age of fifteen, the girls moved to Sao Paulo, Brazil. The sisters performed in live acoustic shows (including their own songs). One year later, the hard-working trio moved to Rio de Janeiro. Within both cities, the girls continued to build their performance skills by working with various renowned theatres, television, and dance companies. Each show elevated the triplet's performance level.
In addition, the Scos continued to enhance their acting craft by incorporating advanced acting techniques into their roles from the following experts: Stanislavski, Bertolt Brecht, Nelson Rodrigues and Oswaldo Montenegro/Deto Montenegro (Rodrigues and Montenegro are Brazilian acting experts).
The enchanting invitation to star in a Parisian play beckoned the girls to France at the age of eighteen. In Paris, Thayana, Thaina and Thaisa Sco took on the name "T-Rio". This period proved to be a very creative and fruitful time for the ambitious sisters. They began recording their own original songs that they had written or co-written throughout their careers.
One night in Paris, as the girls were taking in the sights and sounds of a Parisian jazz club, they caught the eye of an esteemed owner of a Sony/BMG label. The sisters invited the executive to watch them perform in their current musical. After he saw the gorgeous trio in action and later listened to a few of their demo songs, he became an instant believer and signed "T-Rio" to their very first record deal in 2004. Their talent spoke so loudly that other renowned corporations such as Coca-Cola and "TF1" (the number one French channel) also jumped at the opportunity to associate their brands with T-Rio and together co-sponsored their first album.
Their first single "Choopeta - Mamae Eu Quero", (immortalized by legendary performer Carmen Miranda in 1939), powered their debut album into becoming one of the hottest hits of that year. "T-Rio" sold around two million copies in roughly twenty-five countries throughout Europe, North Africa and Asia.
Their first album remained at the number one spot for weeks in various countries and received gold and platinum awards in France, Belgium, Holland, Switzerland, Romania, Morocco, Thailand, the Philippines, Canada and many other countries worldwide. Their album was comprised of Brazilian cover songs and of songs that T-Rio either wrote or co-wrote. In addition, the sister's incredible debut album earned them the top five spot on the European charts. As further evidence of their hard-earned success, T-Rio launched a shoe collection and a jean collection connected to their group name. They also help spread the importance of environmental awareness around the world with Ama Zone Green.
Following the meteoric success of their first hit single, T-Rio joined the American/international pop sensation "3T" (comprised of Taj, Taryll, and T.J. Jackson, Tito Jackson's sons and the late Michael Jackson's nephews). Rest in Peace Michael! The two groups recorded a romantic remake of Chicago's "If You Leave Me Now".
Next, the triplets made another dynamic move, this time to Los Angeles, CA to further expand their careers, love, and their sisterly brand of Brazilian magic around the world. Thaina, Thaisa, Thayana and Taj Jackson quickly bonded together through their shared passion for movies, television series', and music. They recently collaborated yet again and created the ideas for two amazing, action-packed series entitled, "CODE Z" and "Clone 3".
Also, T-Rio is currently working on a new album where they are song writing once again. In their very mixed world of pop, rock, Latin and dance, they are absorbing everything they've learned from their experiences worldwide. With all of the vision, talent, beauty, and passion this group shares, Thaisa, Thaina, and Thayana will continue to blaze the world and the stage for years to come!
