Some may have considered him overrated, but Kenneth "Babyface" Edmonds has been in the music for quite a long time. Having written and produced many hits for various recording artists, he's made quite a name for himself in the music industry. Alongside L. A. Reid and fellow collaborator, Darryl Simmons, they've also written and produced for others such as Whitney Houston , Sheena Easton, Toni Braxton and Whispers.

The multi-faceted entertainer has received tons of awards and other forms of recognition for his work in the entertainment industry. As an actor, he made his acting debut as singer in the 1997 film, Soul Food, alongside serving as co-producer. In my opinion, I don't think he's overrated at all in addition to being a songwriter and successful music producer. I was quite surprised that he teamed up Clive Davis to co-produce Johnny Mathis latest album, which was released back in 2017. Also, he's recorded duets with Karyn White, Toni Braxton, and Pebbles during the late-80's and early-90's.

This is why I refer to him as the ultimate hitmaker. Just looking all the work he's contributed in the Music Industry as well as collaborating with other recording artists.

When I hear old school R&B singers like Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston, Sam Cooke and Aretha Franklin, and I've come to the conclusion that classic R&B music is long-forgotten, and the singers I listen to today just don't hold a candle to the old school singers from way back. Ne-Yo, Mariah Carey, Chrisette Michelle, K-Jon and the rest of the R&B singers we hear on the radio today are all right, but nothing compares to old classic R&B music from way back. Those are the kind of singers I like to this day especially Michael Jackson.

However, there some singers who are just as...

Having read a biography pertaining to Michael Jackson, I surprised to learn that he had patterned his vocal stylings after early musical influence and R&B legend, Sam Cooke. Alongside Michael Jackson, Sam Cooke is another one of my favorite old-school R&B singers; as well,as astute businessman like Michael. Sam Cooke came on the scene in the early-'50's as lead vocalist of the gospel group, The Soul Stirrers, and one of the most the greatest voiced in the history of Rock and Roll. As lead singer, Sam has recorded numerous classic gospel recordings, which he wrote or co-wrote, such as...

Having come from a successful showbiz family, Michael and Janet Jackson were of the most successful siblings in the entertainment industry; in addition, to being the first black entertainers to have a successful variety show on network television during the mid-70's. As stated by Michael in an interview, Janet would pattern some of his famous showbiz choreography, and incorporated them in some of her live performances. The were so close Michael once referred to Janet as his twin sister, and one of biggest allies alongside their other family members. The main reason why they were so successful...
