When I hear old school R&B singers like Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston, Sam Cooke and Aretha Franklin, and I've come to the conclusion that classic R&B music is long-forgotten, and the singers I listen to today just don't hold a candle to the old school singers from way back. Ne-Yo, Mariah Carey, Chrisette Michelle, K-Jon and the rest of the R&B singers we hear on the radio today are all right, but nothing compares to old classic R&B music from way back. Those are the kind of singers I like to this day especially Michael Jackson.

However, there some singers who are just as classic as the old school singers such as Alicia Keys, Charlie Wilson, Faith Evans; as well, as Keith Washington, who do an excellent job recording in this genre, and they do an excellent job, as well. This why I created this club here on Fanpop, so I can educate the people here in regards to classic R&B music; as well, as all the musicians who've contributed their music in this genre over the years. Sure I like Michael Jackson as much as the rest of everyone else, but there are other classic R&B singer, which I like to listen to such Lou Rawls, Wilson Pickett, The Degrees, Diana Ross, Roberta Flack and Donny Hathaway. Alongside Michael Jackson, these are the old school singer, which I still listen to, is the type of music you could get in to if you just listen to the lyrics and understand what they're saying.
